Has the potential to be a world class resort
I will state that I had a marvelous vacation, as my expectations were a beautiful beach and some cocktails. Unfortunately, Sea Breeze, despite having a beautiful location, and nicely appointed rooms, fails significantly at customer service. We encountered about 50% of the staff who seemed very unhappy and interacted with us as if they were doing us a favour. Mostly, I noticed this poor service at the Tipsy bar, and the hostess at the Aqua Terra restaurant who had a nice scowl on her face, and an equally unpleasant demeanor. We also had one waitress at the Cerulean who was also quite unfortunate to interact with. A smile and good customer service goes a long way, especially when you are paying a small fortune to vacation at this resort. I hope management takes this into account, as this resort has the potential to be a great place to vacation, once the staff give better and friendlier service. The second area of improvement is the food at the buffets which was lackluster and not what one would expect when paying this kind of money. We ordered the luxury ocean view room and asked to be given a higher floor, which was not done. We also requested a late checkout (12:30 instead of 11) which was not granted. These occurrences bolstered the poor customer service at this resort. Thankfully, the beautiful view and location, the stargazing with Leo Branch, the beach cabanas, and the good food at Aqua Terra and Cerulean made up for the poor service, and sometimes disappointing food. The clientele is 90% in the age of 65+. If you are not a senior, you may feel out of place. It makes for a very quiet resort. The ocean is very rough, and therefore, if you want to go snorkeling or go on the boat, you most likely cannot, or only sporadically. PROS: Rooms are lovely (luxury oceanfront) and the renovation done in 2019 was well done. The food is good at the Cerulean and Aqua Terra. The breakfast buffet is also good. The location and resort are really beautiful. The resort is quiet and the beach cabanas are included in the price, so you can get some shade. CONS: Customer service is hit or miss, and the buffet food needs to be improved for this to be a truly wonderful vacation spot. Please train your staff to be friendlier, to smile and to interact with customers in a way that inspires them to return.

Lovely resort with very special people
Just returned from a fantastic week stay at Sea Breeze Beach in a classic Oceanview room. Our room was located in the Driftwood building on the 3rd floor (#303). The room was quiet, spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the AC worked quite well. There was no "tropical" dampness or musty odor in our room that I've experienced in other Caribbean resorts. Housekeeping was great. We only experienced one day when our room wasn't serviced until 530 pm. The view was terrific, and we loved hearing the sound of the ocean and the peepers at night on our balcony. The balcony furniture could be more comfortable, but the clothes rack is a nice touch. The reserving of loungers at the pool and beach wasn't as bad as I've experienced at other resorts, but the towel game is played for the key spots. The pool chairs and umbrellas were excellent, but we are beach people. That's where the biggest con of this resort lies. The beach chairs are atrocious. There are no umbrellas or palapas (tiki huts) on the beach. The chairs have useless shades that slide up and down. More than half of the chairs have broken shades! It was extremely frustrating trying to find 2 chairs together with functioning shades. This situation would be the reason I likely wouldn't return. The sea was rough in this part of the island. Of course, no fault of the resort, but noteworthy if you have small children or limited mobility. The guys working the beach were so friendly and worked hard to keep us relaxed! Shout out to Prince (Chris Rock doppelganger!) and Jamel. You need to make daily reservations for dinner when you go for breakfast. Reservations can be made for 3 nights in advance. The food we had was very good, with the exception of the breakfast. The buffet was uninspired, and the black flies and fruit flies all over the food made it unappetizing. We also had a la carte dinner at Mahogany, and although our meal was decent, the atmosphere was like eating on a cafeteria. We loved the fish cutter sandwiches at Flying Fish, and Marcia was a delight behind the bar. While we were there, the playoff game was on (Patriots vs Denver) and the staff was very attentive. We also loved the tacos served at the Tipsy bar by the beach area. Our favorite dinners were at Cerulean (skip the pork), and there was entertainment in the lounge area most, if not all, nights. We had mixed experiences at Aqua Terra, both in food and service. Shout out to Alison. She was a delight! The High Tea served at 4 pm at Cerulean was rather lame and not worth leaving the beach. The clientele at this resort is older couples and somewhat reserved, which suited us just fine. (We are early 60's single college friends, just looking for peaceful relaxation on this trip.) No swim up bars or loud rambunctious drinkers. The guests were friendly and respectful, and we appreciated the consideration shown by smokers. No loud personal music is being blasted at the pools or beach. We loved our daily interactions with folks from Canada, England, and across the US. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed, open to meeting new acquaintances. All of the people at the resort, guests and workers are what made this trip so outstanding! We did not venture off the resort on this trip except to attempt some shopping in Bridgetown (not great!) and to have dinner at Champers (terrific, but pricey experience!). We will be back to see more of this beautiful island.

5 Star Experience!
Having been lucky enough to go to Barbados a number of times we have experienced lots of different hotels none better than this intimate family owned gem. Elegant rooms adorn a tropical beach with plenty of amenities and quality on offer from dining to entertainment daily. Wonderful attentive staff throughout make the experience 5 star. Located near the airport, we would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to use this as an ideal base to explore this Caribbean Paradise island. Cannot wait to return. E.O'Donoghue.

Went back - better still
We returned to Sea Breeze for the second year in a row and were greeted like long lost friends. The lobby area had been completely refurbished and had a classy boutique feel about it. The food was even better than last year - shout out to Executive Chef - Ron Maynard. The staff and watersports guys were as friendly as ever and a lot of banter was had. We would love to return and maybe make it a pre-Christmas tradition.

Potential not being realised
Great location but resort suffers from poor customer service and supervision that is “on it”. If you can put up with the negatives it’s possible to have a great holiday here.
