There are so many resorts and beautiful beaches between Cancun and Tulum and our hands down favorite is Secrets Akumal. This was our 7th trip to Secrets Akumal and we keep coming back because of the fantastic employees. Many of the employees are still there since our first visit and that’s what makes it special. The resort and beach are the best in Mexico so when you add great employees to the mix, it’s a perfect place. Everyone we meet is attentive and they genuinely love there job and it shows. Amazing!
Best resort ever, we will be back hopefully soon! Overall, the activities were extremely well planned and fun. We tried paddle boarding, beach volley ball, pool volley ball, water aerobics, dance lessons at Desire, pickleball, ping pong, pool side games, the bike tour, paint and sip, silent party, haunted house, and many other shows and events at the resort. We never had a bored moment. The live music at the pool and Randezvous bar were such a nice touch. The food was great. The vibes were great. It was one of the best vacations we ever had. All the staff we encountered were professional and friendly. Alejandro gave us a dance lesson and we had a water aerobics class with him. He was so energetic, positive, patient, and professional. We learned basic salsa moves in less than 30 minutes including turns and had so much fun at water aerobics! Ari and Allan were both amazing for the activities. We took the bike ride to Akumal and stopped at two destinations. They were knowledgeable and made the experience informing and fun. We did a paddle-board activity that was very well planned. I did a paint and sip activity and got to try some wine. The food and the experience were 10/10. Billie was our concierge. She made sure we knew about all the events and she was so accommodating to our requests. She is the best! Diego our server at the beach was amazing. Ricardo and Jose, our servers at the pool were so professional. Antonio our server at oceana was great. Maria at Market cafe greeted us with a smile and positivity each morning. All the staff and servers at market cafe were so professional and made our mornings special. We were surprised by the quality and freshness of the food and dessert at Coco cafe that was open 24/7. The staff were always friendly and made the best iced lattes!

Best All Inclusive resort!
We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Secrets. This is the best AI resort we've been to in the Hyatt family. Everything is a 10 here! We have to do a shout out to the staff... they were amazing and will do anything for you. Tip well!! Portofino was the best restaurant, Diego (with glasses) was an excellent waiter, we really liked him. The breakfast buffet was always outstanding and Otoneil was also an excellent waiter. Michele (Masseuse) at the Spa did a great job with my massage. Eunice, very helpful and very nice arranging our spa appointments. Miguel at the Preferred Club lounge did an excellent job with our drinks (best bartender on the property). I cut my foot on the coral while snorkeling and Romero provided great first aid. Nadia (waitress at Oceana) was also an excellent and attentive waiter. Michele (Manager of Oceana) was very impressive and helpful. Oceana was our second favorite restaurant. I didn't want to leave... We will definitely be back and stay longer.

Best vacation ever!
Portofino was the best restaurant, Diego (wore glasses) was an excellent waiter, we really liked him. The breakfast buffet was always outstanding and Otoneil was also an excellent waiter. Michele (Masseuse) at the Spa did a great job with my massage. Miguel at the Preferred Club lounge did an excellent job with our drinks (best bartender on the property). My husband and I chose Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya for our honeymoon. It is an absolutely stunning resort. Well kept, so green and beautiful. The staff is so friendly. They all greet you and help you navigate your way through the resort. I found the layout of the resort very confusing. Our concierge Billie was so kind and caring. My husband got sick one day, she went above and beyond and arranged for some soup to be made for him. Food and dining were fantastic! Service was attentive. I would’ve loved to see more breakfast options other than a buffet everyday. Entertainment was amazing during the day! Our favorites were Brandon, Alejandro, and Andres. The shows at night could be better! Overall would recommend for couples, groups of friends, special occasions, and honeymoons!
