Feb 13, 2026An incredible 40th birthday we'll never forget.
From beginning to end, the resort & it's staff was absolutely incredible The welcome we received as we checked-in, the greetings we received during the entire stay as we walked around the property, the attentive servers & bartenders, the delicious food, drinks & snacks, the constant attention my husband received because of his birthday, & even the people we met while we were there that now we can call friends. It was an incredible experience & we truly cannot wait to be back again!! Shout out to Francisco who checked us in... Our building concierge, Karina, who always checked in to ensure we were getting everything we could possibly wish for + adding special birthday surprises in our room... The Sommelier, Alberto, who personally made our dining experiences so so special... The chef at Seaside Grill, Luis, who personally delivered an incredible meat platter on my husbands birthday for lunch... Jonas & Sinai, from the Entertainment Team, who constantly made sure we were having a good time, kept us laughing & made us special handmade sea turtles to take back to our kids... Guillermo, our Hibachi chef who was SO talented, funny & entertaining. The list could go on. A sincere, "thank you" for everything.

Great Resort!!
My wife and I stayed at Secrets from January 27th-February 10th. It was an amazing stay. The location was perfect! Quiet being in the jungle. The rooms were great! Very spacious and kept clean and in good repair. The bed was very comfortable. We had great service from the front desk at check in to our concierge Gina. We had a great housekeeper Neydy who kept our room very tidy. Some of the staff that really stood out and made our trip extra special were Carlos at the Restaurant El Patio, Patricia at the Oceana restaurant, Freddy at the lobby bar, Ana and Eduardo at the Halftime bar, Damian at the Seaside restaurant and Antonio a pool concierge. I know that I don't have everyone's name that made our stay at Secrets amazing and for this I am sorry but truly our stay at this resort will be unforgetable. The view of the ocean from the pools and beach were amazing! The staff do an amazing job keeping the beach area tidy. We never had an issue finding a place to site at the beach or the pool. We hope to visit this amazing resort again soon! Kevin and Annette P.

Third visit.
This was our third consecutive trip to Secrets Akumal. As usual the staff and the property did not disappoint us. Special thanks to our friend Ismael and Henry, pool waiters, who took great care of us. Annie, our building concierge, made sure any concerns we had were taken care of every day. The only suggestions we have are to improve the lighting in the rooms and get rid of the accent pillows on the bed.

Great resort with awesome staff
Amazing resort. Carlos and Max by the pooland beach hosting classes. Antonio assisting guest everyday with anything at the pool, Jose at the swing chair bar and Ricardo 'Speedy' Gonzalez as our concierge helping with everything else. This resort is high on service, is clean, beautiful and the food/drinks is fantastic. At the end of it all these staff members made all the difference!

Best Resort Ever!!
First time visiting Secrets Akumal and I have to say that we were blown away by the hospitality and excellent service, the food was fantastic! Employees went above and beyond, everyone made us feel welcomed. We had the best Birthday vacation, we will be back soon. I highly recommend this Beautiful Property. Thank you Akumal. And to everyone who made this vacation so special.
