Complaining about paradise
Service is great food and drink choices less than they use to be. Building is getting a little rough around the edges swim up suites not worth it no views no drink service like the dreams. Food and drink choices not as good as it used to be. Our 3rd stay here in 10 years.

Welcome Home to Paradise!
Positioned outside of town, this resort is a post card come to life! You are immediately greeted by staff that say "welcome home". But it's more than a slogan. The people there, Miguel, Rosana, Aicka, Mesros, Gaspar, Elizabeth, Eugenia, Ricardo, Adrian and many more became fast friends and family. The food was top notch. Steak, Mahi Mahi, Sea Bass, Grouper, Fresh Salads, even French cuisine and much more made meals an event. Want to lay back and relax. This is the place. Get bored easily? Grab some snorkel gear and see hundreds of fish a few feet away from the snorkel shack. Or, deep sea fishing, parasailing, four wheeling, diving, and much, much more, The room was great too. The bed was comfy and the climate controlled room was great to come home to.

Think twice about Secrets Aura
The resort was dirty and the restaurants were bad. The food was very low quality. Who can’t do French fries ? The restaurants were never all open at once and I paid for premium status. The kicker was the hot water never worked. Think twice. ☹️. The people were nice but the hotel was rundown and nothing like the photos. All the restaurants, bars and features are not all here, they are spread over two neighboring properties. I’ve never left a review before but after 7 days here, I felt compelled to leave this warning for the next guy. ☠️☠️beware☠️☠️

Relaxing fun with great snorkeling on site
If you're looking for a tropical location with lush plants, a well loved hotel, and an amazing beach for snorkeling this is your place. However, for someone wanting a foodie experience this is not your spot. It was great for relaxation at a leisurely pace! Arbey and the entertainment team are very helpful and engaging with guests and activities. The staff is always friendly and attentive (although hotel seems understaffed). Having access to the 2 adjacent properties is a great bonus. This is our second visit in 3 years and I still love this place.

Nice and Quiet
It was very nice and quiet. I enjoyed that you always could get a seat by the pool or beach and did not have to wait or make reservations at the returants. It was nnice having a swim out that had a waterslide to our pool. Wish I knew about preferred club beforehand, they did not have nicer rooms but an extra pool and better breakfast options. The hotel was looking a little run down but overall we enjoyed our stay.
