  Our happy place.

  Love the location and everything you need to enjoy this hotel is available , you never need to leave the hotel, you can have a different experance every day, Day at the pool Day at the beach Day at the jacuzzi area on sun beds Day in the spa and gym Only problem is you never want to leave.

  More like a decent three star hotel

  This is definitely not a five star hotel, in my opinion. The welcome drink was served in a paper cup. The drinks menu was difficult - for example, all the ingredients of a cosmopolitan cocktail are included in the package, but a cosmopolitan cocktail is extra The buffet was horrendous. Maybe my standards are higher, but this food cannot be classed as 5* The room was nice, but we paid for a sea view and were on the ground floor, granted we had a sea view, if you can look past the massive glass screens. A 9am race to secure your torn / ripped sunbed. Heated pool was freezing. Most staff were helpful though.

  Mixed Review

  Last day here after a weeks all inclusive break with my wife. Hotel design is good with pools in a tranquil area in the middle of the hotel. Spa was amazing, we visited it twice for treatments. The scrub and massage were both very good. We had a sea view room which is well worth the extra money. Buffet breakfast and dinner in the Marketplace is included. The breakfast was great but the evening buffet was not to or taste, we visited twice and both occasions the soup was fish soup, another choice would of been good. There are four Al la Carte restaurant which are included (some items need to be paid) but they need to be booked a day in advance if you can get in. Now to the negative points we found. Please be aware all inclusive is 12 noon on arrival and finishes 12 noon on departure. We arrived late at night and were offered a voucher for late lunch on our departure day with drinks only during lunch. We do not eat lunch and found we could not even get a bottle of water round the pool after 12 noon! This is the first all inclusive we have been to which operates this policy and after complaining to reception found that there was no movement on this. Absolutely ridiculous after we paid for the day of arrival which we missed due to arriving late. The second issue are not all restaurants are open. Only one for lunch the Seaside Grill is open, the Bay Lounge was closed throughout our stay. The Al la Carte restaurants are not open every night with two of them only open for two nights. When this is your day of arrival and following night it is impossible to get into. We ended up leaving hotel for a night and eating out. With the lack of support offered on our departure day from reception for a couple of drinks around the pool this has left us with a bad taste in our mouth, feeling deflated after a relatively relaxing holiday. My suggestion for coming to this hotel would be bed and breakfast as the all inclusive luxury is not as luxurious as its sold

  great holiday

  this hotel was lovely! the rooms were always clean and the bed was very comfortable, the staff were super friendly and helpful! the pools were good too and always able to get a sunbed, overall it was an amazing hotel and we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again

  Disappointing Room and Poor Follow-Up for a Hotel of This Standard

  Disappointing room and poor follow-up from a hotel of this standard. We are currently staying at Secrets Bahía Real and, unfortunately, the room has been a real disappointment. We booked a Deluxe Junior Suite with Balcony/Terrace and Garden View. In reality, our room faces towards the road, with a wicker-style fence directly in front of the balcony screening it off. There is effectively no view at all, and certainly not what we reasonably expected when booking something described as a “Garden View”. My biggest issue is that this was not made clear at the time of booking. Had we known exactly what the outlook from some of these rooms was like, we could have made an informed choice — either chosen another hotel, selected a different room category or paid to upgrade before travelling. I think the hotel needs to be much clearer about this. We did raise the issue with reception and were later shown another room, but by then we had unpacked and the alternative was only a few doors away with a slightly better outlook, so it didn't seem worth moving everything. What has surprised us most is the lack of follow-up. Despite raising our disappointment, there has been no apology and no contact at all from senior management or guest relations. For a hotel of this quality and price point, I would have expected somebody to acknowledge the complaint and at least check that we were happy with how it had been handled. Instead, there has simply been silence. There are certainly good aspects to the hotel, but the room description and the way our complaint has been handled have taken the shine off what should have been a special stay. At the moment, based on our experience, I can only give it 2 out of 5.
