Number 1 hotel
A trip to pure paradise! What an incredible hotel. All food and drinks were amazing, beautiful daily breakfast (morning mimosas- what a treat! Thanks to Anuery and Bienvenido), fish tacos lunch at oceana was a favourite and all dinner restaurants were brilliant but favourites were Bordeaux and Himitsu. Couldn’t have asked for better amenities- the pools were lovely - big thanks to Madelyn, Solutions master & Steven by the pool- and added extras such as jacuzzi, swim up bar and super close beach were perfect- thanks to Alvero at Barracuda- Mamjuana was delicious. Activities were very fun- especially paddleboard, pickleball, darts & volleyball- huge thanks to Rihanna, Sweety and icecube who were a constant source of fun. Could not recommend more, thank you team! Ambir & Tom Cruise

Fantastic break
Review: A Fantastic, Relaxing Stay at Secrets Cap Cana, Dominican Republic Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stay Duration: 7 Days (October 2025) Travel Type: Adult Family (Mother & Son) Overview I stayed at the Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa for seven days in October, and all I can say is "wow." I travelled with my 40+ year-old son; while he found the atmosphere a little quiet, I found it absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. Being an adults-only resort made it the ideal peaceful environment for us. The Preferred Club Experience & Service We opted for the Preferred Club accommodation, and it was worth every penny. Check-in: A seamless breeze. We were greeted with cooling towels and drinks, then whisked away to a private lounge for a quick, comfortable check-in. Butler Service: Our butler, JP, was the absolute standout. He was incredibly responsive, provided his contact number immediately, handled all our speciality restaurant bookings, and looked after us with genuine care. Staff: Beyond JP, the entire team was pleasant, helpful, and attentive. Accommodation & Room Features The room was beautifully appointed with a double vanity and a large walk-in shower. Housekeeping: The room was cleaned daily (twice a day if requested) and the fridge was replenished every morning. Room Service: Very efficient. I particularly loved the "secret" cubby hole for food deliveries—perfect for when you don't feel like socialising! Note: There were no bidets in the bathroom, which was surprising for a resort of this calibre. Dining & Drinks Speciality Restaurants: The French restaurant was my personal favourite, and the Hibachi was also very enjoyable. Breakfast: I preferred the variety of the main buffet, while my son enjoyed the more quiet table service in the Preferred Club section. The Bakery: A fantastic 24-hour spot for cakes, hot drinks, and snacks. Water Advice: Do not drink the tap water. Use the provided bottled water for everything, including brushing your teeth. (I personally found the bottled water had a bit of an aftertaste). Beach & Pool As Preferred Club members, we had access to a private pool and a dedicated beach section. The Beach: While the sea was full of sargassum (seaweed), the staff worked tirelessly to keep our section of the sand clear. Shade: There were plenty of shaded spots to lie down. However, be aware that the covered cabanas come with a very high extra fee, which I felt was unnecessary. Atmosphere: No "hawkers" or vendors harassing you to buy things, which made for a very peaceful experience. Accessibility & Mobility I have mobility issues, and I was pleased that the hotel loaned us a wheelchair. Pros: The resort is manageable if you have someone to assist you. Cons: Unlike some other 5-star resorts, there are no shuttle buggies to hop on and off. I would have struggled if I were travelling solo, but with my son pushing the chair, it was fine. Final Verdict If you are looking for a high-end, quiet, and respectful adults-only resort experience in the Dominican Republic, I highly recommend Secrets Cap Cana. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay so memorable!

Would Definitely Stay Again
If you are thinking about staying at Secrets Cap Cana, just do it! You will not be disappointed. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly but our concierge, Carlito was absolutely amazing. He was just a quick message away for any needs that we had and went out of his way to acknowledge my wife's birthday and make it special. The resort grounds are beautiful, our room was clean and very nice and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. The only negative that I can think of during my stay was that I booked a swim out junior suite. Having the swim out is probably fine in the summer months but during January we found our unheated swim out pool area to be too cold to enjoy, at least for our taste. We were in building 3 and perhaps this would not be an issue if you are staying in building 4 which gets direct sun. Aside from that small complaint, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again when visiting the Dominican Republic.
