  Just back from secrets had the best 15 nights can not fault anything about the hotel or the staff from the reception to the cleaning staff and the bar staff the food and drinks are excellent looking forward to returning

  A true 5 star experience. It felt special from the first moment to the last. Total relaxation and totally stress free.

  This has been an amazing vacation. Everything has been perfect from the amazing food drinks and service. If I can name but a few of the dedicated team my shout outs would be Joseph the heart of the hotel who proudly told us he had worked at the hotel for 25 years. Laura who greeted us in breakfast every morning with our name and room number giving a smile to start our day 😊 Naomi and Roxanne who made us feel special and served our food with professionalism and smiles. Thank you to every member of staff who were on hand to make our holiday wonderful.

  Just our experience as a couple!

  Where to start, advertised as a 5 star Romantic experience, it's neither. I think I know what it is, a corporate business run by grey suited men (can't be women involved, women would see through the pretentious façade of romance and realise it's not). Anyway, feedback time. - foyer area impressive, check-in easy, and front of staff friendly and helpful. 5 star. - The buffet breakfast is quite good, varied, and plentiful, better than a lot. 4 star. - The resident cats are healthy! - the landscape garden is manicured with care. Not so good points: - rooms are a bit tired. 3 star. - it's one of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed in, walls made of paper (unless listening to doors slamming or your neighbours shower/tap running is your thing!!) To make matters worse, everywhere is tiled (itself not an issue, but, wait til the cleaners are passing with trollies, or worse cleaning your neighbours either side and above!) What a din. 2 star. - it feels like there's more rules than an Orwellian story, can't drink here, can't take food there? Can't smoke where? 1 star. - pet hate of mine, it advertises a "romantic" escape, the first blow to that is 2 separate beds, dressed individually, and pushed together!!! Who thought that was a good idea ... I guess they want intimacy controlled too! 0 star. - smoking, probably not the hotels policy, it could be a government policy, but it's madness, usually the only guaranteed private area one can smoke and not interfere with the public is your terrace/balcony - not here it's not! ... Designated smoking areas, for which there were none, just ashtrays dotted around the resort sporadically. If it's a government policy, I might just switch Spain for Portugal or Italy. Shame, that friendly liberal relaxed spanish culture is eroding (not the hotels fault) 3 star. - tried the Porto Fino restaurant last night, started well, then downhill, the Spag Bol wasn't a Spag Bol, zero flavour, get your magnifying glasses and search for the beef, wife had Guanciole which was nice, the rest was smash potato like! 0 star. - the Negronis were awful, wrong glass, too many ice cubes, just wrong! 2 star. - "Preferred Guests" - what's that all about? It's supposed to be a top drawer 5 star resort, but no, let's add an additional, even better layer for the privileged few??? Snobbery (and greed) evident! Whatever star! I feel supported in my review of the hotel by coming across so many couples who moaned about the place, day one a nice mature lady was shocked at not being able to smoke on her balcony and subsequently complained, another day standing at an ashtray smoking an elderly guy gent informing me of his dismay at the same policy, another day a younger lady unable to get a glass of wine because she was a few minutes too late, last day overhearing a couple complain about the Italian food and were subsequently refunded (I should have insisted myself). Now before I continue, I know that this will be reviewed by a very nice sincere HR rep who's willing reply will be a sort of "sorry we didn't live up to your expectations .." - to that person writing the reply below (YES YOU) - THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT. This is not the staff's fault, this is corporate, grey suited boardroom and political interference that takes away the fun, personal touch, happiness, comforting relaxing experience, the type you get in many smaller unpretentious places. This is management that think they know best, this is business decisions taken by people that seem to know nothing about romance, flexibility, intimacy, fun, friendliness ... you get what I mean. Perhaps that's were it all went wrong, I made the wrong choice of holiday. "For all adult romance" ... only if you follow the rules, accept the noisy environment, don't smoke, watch where you drink and when you drink, don't feed the cats, limit intimacy, and avoid the Italian food. Waiting on the response ...

  Great Experience

  Location is great, a walking distance to shopping, adults only, the atmosphere is great, rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and nice. Weather can be unpredictable but mostly nice, we were still able to get some sun at the pool side. No access to the beach but you can still see the beach. They offer great fitness classes like yoga, pilates, stretching, Zumba and aqua fitness. The nightly entertainment was ok, only one choice and wasn’t much. The place is quiet and cozy , great value for your money. I will recommend Secrets to friends.

  Excellent

  Lovely holiday. Hotel and Spa were first class. I’m have Coeliac Disease and I was delighted that at breakfast there was an area with gluten free products.
