  Great time with friends at SPM

  Great stay at SPM. Wonderful upgrades have been completed and have added to a great property. Alvin our concierge, took great care of us and we felt very welcome as UVC members as we always have at this property. Francisco at Seaside gave a memorable dinner as he always has. Ezekiel at Bar Manatees made our trip special with his mixology skills. Super clean room and resort. The staff was excellent and welcoming. This was our 5th time and will not be the last here.

  Beautiful resort, ok service

  We visited with a large group, some staying at Secrets and others with children at the neighboring resort. Secrets is beautiful and tastefully updated. We enjoyed the pool, the many bars, and our comfortable room. The shower pressure was excellent, too. Unfortunately, the service was inconsistent. Some staff members were wonderful, while others seemed frustrated or unwilling to accommodate simple requests. At one restaurant, I asked for an extra appetizer instead of an entrée and was flatly told no. Check-in took far too long, and checkout was even more frustrating. While we appreciated the property itself, the overall experience did not compare to Excellence just up the road, so we would not return.

  Amazing resort, even more amazing staff!!

  Secrets Playa Mujieres We are big secrets fans. This one stood out because of there over the top staff. From check in to check out they bent over backwards to make sure we were beyond happy. I NEED a fan to sleep. Every Secrets has always gotten one for me in our room. Not this one. Omar in luggage brought me one FROM HIS HOME to use during our stay. Talk about a WOW!!! Axl—best pool concierge. He worked dual roles with us. Pool concierge to the extreme and regular concierge too. This man doesn’t know the word no. Silver & Sam-golf cart drivers. Sam should be the reason you come to this resort. He’s driver. He’s comedian. He makes sure you are 1,000,000% happy. Wait for his golf cart. You’ll be glad you did! Maria—pool waitress knew what we wanted without asking. Amazing! Andre and Zoey—entertainment staff kept IPI entertained all day long. Even for us who didn’t participate just liked people watching from the pool.

  Don’t hesitate it’s fantastic

  Today is our last day of a fantastic 10 day break, we cannot fault anything during our time at this fantastic facility. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the room is great with a fantastic ocean view and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The preferred club was a fantastic upgrade which we’d highly recommend if you want the quieter relaxing days around the pool with quality drinks and food available all day. The restaurant system is easy to navigate and the food has been excellent at all the restaurants and buffet, we will definitely return without hesitation, thank you SPM for a wonderful holiday.

  Fabulous stay.

  If you are about to travel here or are thinking about it , well you are in for a treat. What a beautiful, spotlessly clean and fabulous resort this is. We stayed in September for 11 nights and from the moment we arrived to us leaving we experienced fabulous service. The restaurants are high end quality. You have to book them via the hotel app that day but there are only 3 to book and others available to turn up on the night. No buffet in the evening which is great! Oceana is a seafood restaurant at night and fish/ meat alternate lunchtimes. You don’t need to book and the views at lunchtime overlooking the beach with a cool breeze was difficult to beat. As a non fish eater I loved it. Entertainment in the theatre if you want it and sports bar next door. All up at a seperate area in the hotel which has the bookable restaurants , spa and gym there also. The beach is fantastic as is the Freeform pool. No lines if sunbeds here . You are spaced out around the pool. Waiter service at the pool and beach which is great. Rooms are recently refurbished and the whole place has a new feel about it. We met various people who had visited multiple times previously. A sign of a good hotel. The golf cart drivers take you around the resort and you just call on a bell for them. No issues for any age of traveller as there was a great mix of adults there. It suits any adult age group honestly. I would give this resort 95/100. My only suggestions to make this a perfect resort are as follows: There are a couple of bars but we felt that they are lacking a good bar with piano/ music . There is a bar in the main hotel area but it is in reception. As such not enough seating and although great it lacked a little atmosphere for after dinner. Take away the El patio restaurant and put a beautiful bar in there. We also had an issue with tipping . A lot of Americans and Canadians visit here and tip constantly. We didn’t agree with this as the staff were all amazing. The behind the scenes staff likes cooks and gardeners worked tirelessly but didn’t get tips. I would like to think tips are shared but I doubt it. I would like a button on the App to tip at the end of my stay to recognise all the staff and ensure everyone gets rewarded. Snacks like crisps/ fruit would also be great with drinks. There is a preferred club which I worried about prior to travelling as we weren’t in that section. It is there, but you cannot see it particularly and despite it having its own pool and restaurant, we talked to loads of people who came to the main pool for some light entertainment/ atmosphere in the day. I didn’t feel it was worth it to go for that but each to their own. Finally I want to reassure guests that if you fall ill or have an accident, you will be well looked after. My husband fell ill and fainted on our last night in the middle of one of the restaurants. The medical team were there in 30 seconds along with staff from the concierge. A Doctor was called and arrived within minutes. The staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us including extending our room right up to the moment we left. All in all we had an amazing time and if you go you will not be disappointed. Fabulous!
