Highly enjoyable
Stayed here for 10 nights, last minute change following hurricane melissa meant our original holiday to Jamaica was cancelled. We stayed in preferred, and tried all of the restaurants on site and set up sunbathing at various places through our holiday. Pros - there are a lot Staff are helpful and friendly, they work hard to keep the place clean and guests happy and it shows. Entertainment was a lot better than we anticipated, we actively scheduled plans around the shows. We did sushi making and rum tasting. Shout out to Junior and Hocki it was one of our favourite parts. Resort is clean, large and has good amount of variety to suit. The gym was good, only place we didn't try was the spa, but it looked very nice but pricey. Weather, ignore what the apps say, it forecast thunder and rain most days but was glorious. Food, really enjoyed the food. El paso grilled sausage starter, la riveria omelette station was our go to, we did try olios for brekkie and view was great but preferred buffet brekkie. The French had a fabulous creme bruelle, hibachi sushi, olios foccaca bread and jerk chicken with rice. Coco cafe daily trip for our caffeine fix was nice. The beachside grill for snacks had a good mix of food, I really enjoyed the salads. Excursions are available, we did the juanillo beach and it was amazing, little pricey but worth it. (Cesar hooked us up and gave us guidance, really friendly chap) Preferred check in bar, Robert does an excellent old fashioned! Cons Previously we've stayed at sandals resorts, so doing a preferred/non preferred felt like there were tiered levels. We did preferred so had access to all, and would recommend it for us but like it when an AI is exactly that. Also the extra cost of booking of ball beds in the no preferred and beachside areas seemed just another way to pay more. Tipping, not a con but took us a few days to get our heads into it and amounts appropriate. Again sandals have a no tipping so its easier to not have to consider it (the staff are worth the tips) Bites, couldn't see the buggers but we got bites most days despite repellant. That said the lumps reduced after a day or so. Overall fabulous holiday can be as active or chilled as you want. Would recommend.

I had a great time
I really enjoyed my time here. At first I was unsure but it turned out to be the best trip. The resort is just big enough so it’s hard to get lost. I was excited to eat at the buffet everyday because the food was so good. I also enjoyed having drinks at the Rendezvous lobby bar where Alexander (I think that was his name) made me the best Moscow mule ever. I would definitely come back

Very well run resort
Secrets Royal Beach runs a tight ship. The resort is continuously cleaned, the grounds are immaculate, and our room was cleaned everyday as well as a turndown service at night while we were having dinner. We did not purchase the Preferred Club option and don’t feel like we missed out on anything. We spent most days at the main pool where there were planned activities for those who wished to participate such as Water aerobics, paddle board yoga, water bikes, etc. Just enough to keep you interested but not too much that you weren’t able to relax. Drinks are brought to you to your poolside chair. Vicente did a great job getting drinks and providing drink suggestions. Super nice guy, very cheerful and always smiling. Thank you Vicente! Every night there is a different themed show. Our favourites were the Rock show and the Beyoncé show. Lots of fun. We unfortunately missed the Queen show but we heard it was great. Restaurants are very nice with excellent service. We particularly liked Bluewater Grill and Bordeaux. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment for us was the included house wine. There are bottles available for purchase in the restaurants but the prices are a bit exaggerated, on average around $100. Beautiful white sand beach where the resort did a good job removing the seaweed. Unfortunately, sargassum seems unavoidable in the Caribbean and it varies from day to day. Overall, Secrets Royal Beach is a very nice resort and very well organized. I would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family.

Secrets is truly hidden in Paradise
Punta Cana is a beautiful place to visit and the staff at Secrets made this even more special for my wife and I. The rooms are clean and housekeeping is everyday. The in room dining is excellent, I recommend the breakfast for it's not just your standard continental breakfast but a full on meal. Reyes at check in was great and very helpful with things available to us. Clarissa at Coco Cafe is one to remember with her smile and great service. We are planning to come back again, it was that good.

Secrets Royal Beach once again does not disappoint! Fabulous Time had by all!!
Secrets Royal Beach is a wonderful and Beautiful Resort. The service was fabulous. We enjoyed Drifters with Daniela and Felix. Their service was always with a smile and very pleasant. We also spent time at the preferred swim up pool with Rosa Argeni, Fany Luz and Rudy who served us while in the Private Beach Bali Bed Cabana. All of the service was so wonderful. We ate in all of the restaurants at the resort and they were all delicious. The Food at Bordeaux was the out of this world! Loved it all! This resort has a great staff that has been there for years. They all remember returning guests which I think is incrediable considering the volume of people the see daily. As always loved our time there and will return again. Thank you Secrets Royal Beach staff for another wonderful trip full of great memories.
