Stayed at Secrets Tulum for a full week to celebrate my birthday and it was honestly perfect. The resort is beautiful, the energy is amazing, and everything felt special from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless and super comfortable, the pools and beach areas were exactly what I wanted, and the staff were so kind and attentive the entire time. The food and drinks were also incredible. There were so many great options and everything tasted fresh. Every day felt like a real vacation, not just a stay. I left feeling genuinely relaxed and celebrated. If you are thinking about booking Secrets for a birthday trip or just a week away, do it. I would 100% come back. 🎉🌴✨

I'll start by saying this has the potential to be an amazing resort, but in my opinion, there are a lot of Shortcuts taken in what looks like an effort to save money. We were there the week before Valentine's Day and the Friday night before we landed, it was down to 59° which made the pools really cold. They didn't start turning heaters on in the pool until Thursday and they did that because there were two very large groups coming in on Friday for valentines weekend. The shuttle that you take to get to the beach does not hold very many people maybe 40. The shuttle runs every half hour for the beach starting at 9:30, if one of the shuttles is overloaded you just have to wait another half hour for the next one, even though there is a 2nd shuttle around the side of the building. Most resorts usually struggle with seating, but I've never been at one this bad, and if you think you're going to sit at the bar and have a drink, you can forget it as there was never more than four seats at any bar. At breakfast anytime between 845 And 10 there would be a line waiting, and it just seems no matter what restaurant we went to there weren't enough workers. When you are in the pool make I would suggest a water shoe as it is the roughest surface I have ever felt in a pool and you will need them when you get out as all wood surrounding the pool is painted black. It was hot in February I can't imagine what it would be like in when it really got warm outside. If you are looking to relax in a tub be careful as it is on your deck for all to see lol. Every morning at breakfast we were asked how our stay was going and on Wednesday we finally expressed some concerns. the gentleman there took our names down, said he would upgrade us to preferred which I told him I didn't want to be preferred everyone paid a lot of money to stay here we should all feel preferred. Nevertheless, he upgraded us told us we would have different snacks and drinks in our room and be able to go to the special preferred club lunch and breakfast and he would contact us every day to make sure our stay was going better. We never heard from Quintana again and never received anything else in our room. A big portion of the workers there do not speak very good English and as this is mostly a European and Canadian resort and some may take offense to this, but those usually don't tip. In fact, I was there four days before I seen someone else besides my wife and I tip. On a postitve note the food on the restaurants were amazing and for a night time drink stop at he bar next to check in as Diego and silent H(lol) are amazingly friendly. Overall this left a bad taste in my mouth and was not what I'm used to from a secrets resort

lovely hotel and staff but lots to work on. DO NOT get a room near the event center you will not sleep. The upsell when you arrive and leave is AWFUL...they just try and get you to sign up for more and more stuff. Hotel is clean and rooms and nice. Great bathrooms. Food is ok...but not great. The performers were awesome though.
