  Five-Star Service and a Dream Wedding Team

  Our stay at Secrets Vallarta Bay was absolutely perfect. The resort is gorgeous, the service from every staff member was consistently warm, and the pool areas are easily a highlight of the property. However, the main reason our experience was so seamless was the incredible work of our wedding coordinator, Celeste Chavez. Celeste is a true professional. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and she provided us with much-needed guidance from the early planning stages until the moment we said "I do." Having her there to lead the way from start to finish took all the stress off our shoulders. We hope upper management recognizes what a gem they have in her; she truly goes above and beyond for her couples. We couldn't have done it without her!

  Overall great trip.

  I would give 4.5 stars if it was possible. We stayed here prior to Hyatt purchasing - back in 2020 and 2021. I do feel like the entertainment and food was a little better back then. I do think I got sick from the chicken wrap at the coffee shop - it was the only thing I ate different than my husband and while it wasn't too terrible I was definitely sick about 6 hours later but thankfully short lived. The hibachi show/dinner was more of just a dinner and less of a show compared to previous years and other resorts, but the food was great. The nightly shows were uncomfortable as you are sitting directly on concrete- I swear they used to have cushions. The beach was not really swimable - which was disappointing but we knew that ahead of time. But on to the good - the place is still as beautiful as ever. The swim up pool is heated and has great views, and it is always nice to have a hot tub. The staff were all very very nice and you never had an empty glass as the pool. We had a absolutely wonderful pool waiter - Fernando - who always remembered our drinks. If he saw us heading down to the pool area he would grab towels and chairs for us. On our last day there was 4 of us but only two chairs available and he went out of his way to find 2 other chairs and bring them over so we could all sit together. Thank you so much for taking care of us! This was the first year we didn't do preferred club - I did miss being able to go to a restaurant for lunch - but the buffet and the grill were fine. The addition of the sushi bar was also very nice to get an afternoon snack. The pillow menu was a nice touch. Being able to order things off the app was also very nice, except the minibar part wasnt working. We had our do not disturb sign up most of the trip but an entire day left it off and while our room was cleaned we never got our sodas restocked. I know I could have called but it would have been nice to either have it done automatically or be able to request online. Overall we had a great trip.

  Beautiful Resort and 5 star service!

  Our second trip to Secrets Vallarta Bay and it did not disappoint. The resort has many long tenured staff and they all go the extra mile. Caesar in the buffet really rolls out the red carpet for guests. Hugo the manager of the Cabanas gave us his cell# on our last visit and was very helpful in getting us a cabana when someone else canceled. He even arranged rentals for our upcoming March trip on the Dreams side. The lobby bar has a great vibe, entertainment is great. The activities staff are so fun, and the pool beverage service is fantastic compared to most all inclusives. Food quality is great, the best Secrets in my opinion. Try the tepanyaki for sure, Bordeaux and Capers as well. This resort will be an annual for us, doesn't get much better!

  Good vacation. Hotel needs updating

  Upon my recent return from SVB, I would like to express my mixed experiences. While the hotel’s staff consistently demonstrated exceptional friendliness and attentiveness, (especially Adrian in the buffet),I found several areas for improvement. The hotel’s aesthetic may be dated, but it maintained a generally clean environment. However, the elevators were unsettling, resembling those that had endured significant wear and tear. Our initial room, a swim-out suite, unfortunately contained cockroaches, which was a significant setback. Fortunately, the hotel promptly upgraded us to a cleaner room in the preferred area, where the housekeeping staff provided exceptional service. Food was average. Nothing special. It is also important to note that SVB does not offer a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Heavy bass music is played from noon to 10:00 pm or later, and weddings often receive preferential treatment, resulting in excessive noise that reverberates throughout the hotel. The swim-up bar frequently attracts intoxicated patrons who remain in the pool for extended periods. Despite these shortcomings, I would still consider the SVB a worthwhile vacation destination mainly due to the wonderful staff.

  Nothing but the Best

  Our experience at Secrets was amazing. Everyone was very welcoming, and we were very pleased with our stay in the Preferred Club. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, just as you’d expect from Hyatt. We cannot say enough about Jose, our butler. He was available to us 24/7 and truly made our stay that much more pleasant. We will definitely be returning. The people we encountered in Puerto Vallarta were wonderful and very friendly, making the trip well worth our while.
