Overall we had a great time! the resort is really nicely updated, the rooms were beautiful and our butler, Jose, was fantastic! The food was butter than expected. I am also Celiac and they were really accommodating to make sure I had gluten free options. Jose really went above and beyond to help with food for me. The main pool was really nice because it was heated so it was really warm. However, I wish the pools were bigger instead of smaller individual pools. The reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars was mostly because of the entertainment. There was hardly any shows but one. I have been to many other Secrets/Dreams and there has been nightly shows. There were no themed nights or parties either. This is the area they could improve upon. However, if you don't care too much about the shows, I'd highly recommend this resort. Beautiful rooms, wonderful service, and good food.

Definitely coming back!
This was the first all-inclusive resort I've visited, and everything was amazing. The hotel and the room were clean and beautiful, the staff were always friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Always a great spot, but experiencing a glow up
We have been to Secrets Vallarta Bay many times over the past few years. It's one of our favorites and it feels like it's making a bit of a comeback. Updates I noticed: Our room was the cleanest it's ever been The pool has definitely received upgrades - all the tile was in great shape, they were very clean, the pool maintenance crew checked the water multiple times per day, and they were actually heated! The customer service has always been excellent, but the room service was better than it's been - the few times we needed an ice bucket it took minutes instead of an hour. We visited the Oasis Cabana on the Dreams side and it has had a complete overhaul since our last trip. Brand new and the pool was upgraded and heated. No nagging from the Vacation Club to upgrade, just great service and friendliness. The beach is in better condition than I've ever seen it and it seems there are less vendors. Can't wait to go back next winter!

Our Stay At Secrets Puerto Vallarta
The resort is nice, however, the rooms are a little dated but clean. The food was great at each restaurant we ate at. The staff at the resort is very friendly and helpful. Our Butler, Jose, was awesome! He made sure we had everything we needed. During our stay, we experienced a water leak under our sink. Jose ensured the leak was repaired expeditiously. Additionally, he went out of his way to make reservations for our group both on and off property. We really appreciated him going the extra mile for us.
