We had our wedding here and cannot race enough about this beautiful resort, the staff and the whole experience. If you even think of going here do not hesitate as this place goes above and beyond for every guest

Great service and facilities
Secrets Akumal is a lovely resort. We haven't been to Mexico for a number of years so I don't have much to compare it to, but I would have to say that it is definitely above average for an all inclusive resort. The service was fantastic. You felt like you were personally taken care of. Within a couple of days the staff know you by name and greet you with a smile. The facilities are very nice with 3 large pools...something for everybody. The beach was good but small...snorkelling was a bit disappointing but we have snorkelled in some of the best places in the world. I found the food to be very good. We liked the French and Japanese restaurants the best and the Grill towards the bottom. I expect that they can't get good beef down there compared to what we are used to in Western Canada. Activities during the day were numerous. One of the things that I found sub standard was the entertainment. It was very uneven going from very good to terrible. There was an over emphasis on dancing. This may have been helped if the resort had a live band for the dancers to dance to...canned music doesn't do much for me. The worst part of our vacation was the piano player in the French and Italian restaurants. He was/is terrible. If Secrets was smart they would fire him immediately and save themselves some money. You can avoid him by sitting outside. Overall a very nice two weeks! I would certainly recommend this resort to others.

Perfect trip
Staff is wonderful. They made everyday perfect. November is the perfect time to go, great weather and no seaweed. Will go back.

A beautiful, welcoming stay that felt like home
We had a really lovely time at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya with our family. From the moment we arrived, it felt welcoming and easy, which made the whole trip relaxing from the start. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and so well cared for. Everything feels calm and peaceful, and we truly felt at home there. The rooms were great. Spacious, clean, comfortable, and exactly what you want after a full day at the beach or pool. The food honestly exceeded our expectations. Every meal was amazing, with lots of variety and really good quality. We looked forward to eating every day, which says a lot for an all inclusive resort. The staff was hands down the best part. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. You never felt like just another guest, and that made the experience even more special. We made great family memories here and would absolutely come back. Such a beautiful place with incredible people.

We had a lot of fun, if we say the best of the world then this place is the best, you come and visit here, it is a lot of fun, enjoy a lot here, best of lake
