Great group stay with amazing butlers, Amber Lounge vibes, minor steakhouse menu issues.

The Road leading to the hotel is in need of repair.. A group of 13 friends recently stayed at Sensira Resort & Spa Riviera Maya to celebrate four 60th birthdays, and overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience. We stayed in five Amber Suites, which were spacious, comfortable, and ideal for a group celebration. While there were a few issues along the way, the good overall certainly outweighed the bad. The resort itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Traveling as a larger group was handled well, and the common areas and grounds were consistently clean and inviting. One standout feature of our stay was the butler service, which was truly second to none. Estefan and Rafael were exceptional — they were always on hand to sort out any issues we had and stayed in contact with us on a daily basis. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made a huge difference to our overall experience and helped ensure our birthday celebrations ran smoothly. We also thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the Amber Lounge, which became a favourite spot for us to relax and unwind in the evenings. It was a great space to gather, socialize, and enjoy a quieter, more exclusive atmosphere. Another person who deserves special mention is Gabriela, who was incredibly supportive when it came to booking our excursions. She was very informative, helpful, and made the entire process easy and stress-free. Our main disappointment occurred on our first night when we dined together at the Steakhouse. As a group of 13, the earliest reservation we could secure was 9:30 pm. While we understood the limitation, it was frustrating to find that approximately 75% of the menu items we wanted were unavailable, despite the full menu being displayed at the time of booking. This was especially disappointing for our first group dinner and birthday celebration. Thankfully, the rest of our dining experiences across the resort were much more positive, and overall service throughout our stay was very good. In summary, Sensira Resort & Spa Riviera Maya is a lovely resort and a strong choice for group travel and milestone celebrations. With outstanding butler service, comfortable accommodations, and welcoming spaces like the Amber Lounge, our stay was enjoyable and memorable. While there are some areas for improvement—particularly regarding restaurant availability and menu consistency—the overall experience left us with many great memories.

    Great place for little ones

Our family had an incredible stay at Sensira! The resort is beautiful, but what made it truly special was our guide, Samuel. He was absolutely fantastic with our kids and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He really made our trip unforgettable. The kids loved the water park and the daily activities. We will definitely be back and will be looking for Samuel again

You get what you pay for!

After 24 hours at the Sensira, it was enough. We changed hotel’s and did not want to spent more time there than we had to. This resort is a 3.5*, nothing more. The price is appealing, they have a nice website and IG page but don’t be fooled. Read comments on the FB Sensira page before booking. - the food is not good at all, certainly not close to a 4-5*. - the pool is very cold -the beach is bad -no entertainment Book somewhere else!

Staff is amazing! Outdoor area lacks cleanliness. Read the end!!

Location- only 25 min from the airport, which is great after a long day flying with young kids. The road into the Resort is horribly rough. There is a van that takes you to town noon everyday, 1 hr in Puerto morelos and 4hr somewhere else (sorry don't remember). The ocean is gross, even with the break removed, its not enjoyable. Atmosphere- its small, homey, not at full capacity during December month, so its easy to get into the restaurants, buffet, and Spa. LET ME TELL YOU! If it wasn't for the people working here, I would never consider coming back. Alberto, Eva, Francisco, and deigo... man... they go above and beyond! They know exactly what you want for drinks, very welcoming and were the ONLY people who actually dug around to find me something gluten free to eat, because there is NO baked goods or carbs at all(other then rice or potatoes, which wasn'tenjoyable). I thought it was going to be fine, but I cannot wait to go home and soak up juices from my meal with a thick slice of bread. No joke... i would ask for bread from other hosts and they would say "yeah yeah" and 20 seconds later, come back and say no, they have nothing... even tho inquiring with management before arrival that the chef would talk to us and make a plan... no... not even close! The kids areas are FANTASTIC! The adventure club is so good with the kids, and the trampoline and movie theater are so handy for the stormy days. The tequila is TERRIBLE! Oh my lord... cannot stress enough. I LOVE tequila but it made me so sick and never wanted to touch it again. Rooms- they are clean, simple, easy walk to the pool if on the lower floors. The views are amazing, AC works. (DON'T FORGET THE CARD FOR YOUR LIGHTS! Not a happy surprise arriving late.) Value- well...it was cheaper for resorts with better food/beach/ town access, especially with it never being at full capacity Cleanliness- the pools are GROSS! Accept the adult only is clear. I didn't find them cold, been in colder. I have only seen one person every second or 3rd day cleaning with a net (been there 10 days). Walkways are covered in spilled drinks, garbage in pools and the red coons make a mess EVERYWHERE at night, and the birds are awful if you have food by the pools. TIP THESE PEOPLE! THEY BUST THEIR ASSES AND MORE THEN DESERVE A GREAT WAGE. Would not come back if it wasn't for the staff. The Resort cheaping out on alcohol and cleanliness of the Resort and limitations of people's diets (us celiac people) definitely a no go. BUT those people mentioned above and those with my kids, made sure we felt at home was the single best part of the trip! If you leave later then 2pm (because plane leaves later), you are charged extra for everything after losing your bracelet. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS FROM ANY OTHER RESORT. We have always had access to everything till the end of everyday while in the Resort (other then your room), especially for the money you pay!.... now i see why it is not even at half capacity at peak time. Management needs a serious look at at what is best for their guests. (They will say they "can extend for another 2 hours", but that is a complete copout!) I've never wanted to leave a Resort so fast. Excited to go back to -30 and 6ft of snow after the experience here. There are better places. Period.
