Small kids? Ok. Bigger kids not so much
The staff at this hotel are great. Everyone was happy to help and polite and genuine. This is the one thing we did really notice. Visiting with two kids 10 and 12. Disappointed to find they are too big for zipline and trampoline park which had a 2.6 foot height limit. I’m not why they couldn’t let the bigger kids go in it later at night maybe after nine or something. There’s mini golf and video games and a kids movie room. This is a family resort so I expected kids but of the hundreds of kids here I’d say only a few are older than 6-7 it’s almost 100% toddlers and younger kids. So be aware. There are two pools for kids one adult pool with a hot tub which is nice in the rain it’s super hot and a baby water park for toddlers. I don’t consider this a resort as more of a Hotel on the beach. It doesn’t have large grounds or the multiple activities a big resort would normally have. Beach was covered in brown sludge so not swimmable but we know the sargasso issue can’t be helped. We went to puerto Morelos to swim. The most important piece of advice I can give you is bring a sweater. The air conditioning is cranked in the restaurants, they have vents in the ceiling right above the tables to the point where when we ate in the fancy adult only restaurant the table cloths were actually flapping in the wind. The AC is turned on so high you’ll freeze if you’re not wearing a sweater. Air conditioning in the room is the worst. It’s warm in there so you turn the AC on but instead of just gently cooling the room down it comes on like an ice cold wind tunnel and the vents are right above the bed, so it hits you in the face all night long. I had to sleep with a robe over my face because it was so cold. I have no idea why you wouldn’t place the beds across from the AC vent instead of directly underneath. Housekeeping was our biggest complaint. there’s four of us in a room and every day we got given two shower towels, no hand towels and no face cloths. We had to go looking for them every single day and sometimes we got top sheets on our bed and sometimes we just got a duvet with no duvet cover or sheets Just a thin, cheap duvet. The first night we got here our cot was not set up for one of the kids so we had to go down and get it sent up and they sent it up but didn’t send any sheets or blankets for it so we had to go back down and get those then the next day when housekeeping came they made the other two beds and just left the cot stripped bare just a mattress no sheets or anything when I phoned the front desk to ask for blankets and sheets. They just sent up pillows. Asked for robes - all they had was one child robe the entire week we were there. Fridge did not get refilled once the entire week despite tipping 50 pesos daily. Here’s a tip. If I’d have known how cramped the two queen bed suites for four were I would’ve ordered the king size room that our mother-in-law had and two single cots as that would have accommodated four ppl way easier. There’s also zero privacy at all in these rooms there’s a sliding wooden screen, but you can see right through it and even if you couldn’t, there are mirrors along the opposite wall so anyone who’s sitting on the bed can see whoever’s changing over by the sink so unless you get changed in the toilet room where there’s no hooks to hang anything you have to ask the kids to leave the room in order to dress. Mine are step kids of the opposite sex so not an appropriate set up. Oh and the shower… it’s a very gentle rain head only. No wall shower so you need a lot of time to wait for the conditioner to rinse out. Restaurants are ok but it’s first come first served no reservations except steak house so unless you’re there right at six there is a wait. there are three. Mexican Italian or steak. The steak restaurant was good but we had to walk out when sat inside as the blaring music was way too loud even the kids couldn’t stand it. The buffet isn’t open for dinner every day and when it is it’s ok but just meh. Last night there was seafood and meat but no fish just scallops etc so as someone who doesn’t eat beef or chicken I had semi cooked cold pasta with lukewarm tomato sauce for dinner. The pool snack bar is the only decent food as it’s deep fried. Fish tacos quesadillas etc. long lines though at lunch. One of our kids got very ill with vomiting and diarrhea for a couple days (doctor visit is $500. he was great though ) and another kid threw up while we were here and I overheard a guy saying his wife couldn’t leave her room either and was so sick so given all the kids here I’d expect to see staff sanitizing door handles and surfaces like I have in other hotels but didn’t. I’d get a Dukoral rx before you go if you aren’t up to date. I was nauseous the entire time I was there though didn’t get taken down by the full bug. My dukoral expired in October so maybe that kept it from taking me down completely. They did put hand sanitizer out halfway through the week so likely that’s why. I like perfume and things that smell nice and I’m not sensitive, but the washrooms are so heavily perfumed. It’s hard to breathe in there; insanely strong air freshener. The nightly entertainment is inside in a conference room which was kind of odd. We didn’t go. Overall it wasn’t terrible and if you get it cheap which we did then if your kids are happy in the pool then go for it. If you’re a foodie, love ocean swimming and you don’t want screaming kids running through the lobby while you have your after dinner cocktail then it might not be your first choice.

This place is nice if you don't want to spend time at the beach.
This was our fourth resort in three weeks in the Riviera Maya area. The seaweed down here is TERRIBLE! The beach water at this resort is unusable. So, you are stuck with the pools. There is an adult pool and it has a hot tub that is a true Hot Tub. Walk up snack bar or waiters that will take your order and deliver back to your cabana or lounger. kind of limited in restaurant selections but, they are decent and the buffet is big and has a decent selection. We stayed in the Ruby Suite which was spacious and had a fantastic view of the beach. That level also allows you access to the Amber Lounge. All in all, I would put this in the Dreams resort category. Just as a comparison.

Family Oriented Destination
Staff were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. However, sometimes the language barrier was a little difficult, but everyone was genuinely helpful. The place looked pretty much as advertised, except for the main dining room (buffet) which very much needed some sound deadening, and a little worn looking. The food was very good in the 3 specialty dining rooms, and the outdoor pool was also very good (as well as the servers). The downside was it was too family oriented for us. We did enjoy the adults only pool. We love kids & have our own grandchildren, but it was small children crying and a little out of control for us AT ALL TIMES. We arrived very late (3:30 AM) because our plane was delayed 7 hours, so I am thinking there was to some sort of orientation but due to the late time this was not possible. We felt there should have been some follow up the next day to inform us of the restaurants and amenities, but there where none except for a QR code lookup.

Wonderful experience for a week
We stayed there for a week and loved the resort - got a sea view room, their main focus is on everything including kids' experiences - my daughter loved the adventure club, sandy beach, zipline tour, trampoline park and the kids focused pool along with kids focused drinks. Buffet was great, drink was great too. The food at the restaurants really depends on the day. i tried risotto two different nights and totally loved one night and other night it was totally disaster (well that's a part & parcel of life). it's definitely not high-end luxury resort. But definitely kids centric and is a small resort. People are friendly specially the severs at Lobby bar. Buffet server depends on the day. I did not have great experience with one particular server but otherwise totally loved it. Also liked the "tea House" lady there works hard. Huge plus that there's no time share. Pros - -Different buffet themes every day -Love the pool side service in the afternoon -great service at lobby bar -great service at tea house -Loved the adventure play area, they do lot of themes like pizza making & eating, -----decorating cup cake, making ice cream etc. -Loved the cabanas at the beach -great concierge service - i am vegetarian, so veg menu was plus - ziplines are must - clean resort Cons - wish there was childcare available during disco theq hours. -Beach was not cleaned, very bad water with sea weeds. Walk on the left of the beach and cross the dirty area, the beach is super amazing (but is not sensira property) -No resort credit usually -cannot handle busy times at buffet very well - some server did not know what is not offered vs. offered very well!

Amazing Yoga Pilates, Personal Training Instructor
I had an amazing experience with Zania in the Yoga and Pilates classes I would highly recommend them The hotel should advertise the Classes as I found out only by going to the gym, I think if it was advertised at reception and on the TV channels Zania would get more participants She is also a very good Personal trainer helping you to maintain your fitness levels while you are away.
