This hotel turned my disappointment of hospitality on the island around. The hotel staff from the housekeepers (clean rooms) to the front desk were a 10/10. The welcome was upbeat when I arrived with welcome drinks true spirit of Aloha! Kekoq who checked us in had that old school Marriott spirit to serve. Patrick and Paul the bellmen were so friendly helping with my mom’s mobility scooter in and out of the car. They were never grumpy or asking why. They were both warm and gracious to those who had low mobility, which I appreciate. On the last day, I met Lissa and Tarih at the front desk who sent us off well. The hotel is truly diversity-friendly. It didn’t matter what you looked like or where you came from; you could feel that everyone was genuinely welcomed and treated with kindness and respect. The hospitality was warm, personal, and inviting. It honestly felt like being welcomed into someone’s home rather than just checking into a hotel. That feeling of comfort and acceptance really stood out to me and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again! Amenities included with resort fee 10/10. -action camera -bikes -beach chairs/umbrella/towels so many more things The beach in front of the hotel was amazing!

I stayed here over the 4th of July week. I paid nearly a thousand dollars more for an ocean front room, but when we got to our room it directly faced another room and did not have any semblance of an ocean view (not even partial). When I spoke with the front desk they told me if you can even see a sliver of ocean by craning your neck around the edge of the balcony it is considered an ocean front (this room was 500+) a night. The balcony is not even big enough for two adults to sit in. We also spent the entire week cleaning up residual pubic hair that seemed to be all over the room and bathroom. The front desk told me they couldn’t do anything because it is not considered a full service resort and is just a motel. The pool is smaller than a motel 6 (and dirtier). There is also absolutely no beach so don’t book here thinking it is a beach vacation. They did offer to give us beach equipment to drive 15 minutes to a public beach, but when we went to get it they “were all out.” I sent in complaints before I made this review but not a single one was acknowledged. ABSOUTELY DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RELAXING HAWAIIAN VACATION. I also guarantee the response below is the same generic response as every other review. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT

10 out of 10 Stay!
Beautiful, clean resort, amazing staff, and unforgettable family memories. We can’t wait to come back! A huge mahalo to Bernadette and Taneil — they were so warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond for our family. Our boys absolutely loved the snowcones by the pool. (The girls who made them were so sweet.) Also, highly recommend the luau! The food and performances were amazing. The resort’s location was great for walking or biking to local shops via the coastal path. Book it – you will not be disappointed!

I went there after the storm. There was power issues, had to wait for the room to be ready. And all of this was totally fine and understandable. The staff were doing their gest to take care of the guests. Overall great experience.

A very disappointing stay in this hotel. The staff didn't even say hello, except to each other. The staff at the checkin desk was rude. The room was right across from the laundry area (which had no door), the ice machine, and the water dispenser; there was a lot of noise starting at 6 a.m. and unbearable heat in the hallway. Inside the room: poor housekeeping (and service was frequently skipped), dirty glasses, no coffee supplies restocked, and an extremely noisy air conditioner, and carafes too large to fit under the water dispenser! The hotel tried to charge me for parking without prior notice, even though I wasn't using it. It is a Marriott hotel; I am usually satisfied with this brand. Only one staff member was pleasant at checkout. We do not recommend!
