  A Disappointing Stay – Not Worthy of the Sheraton Name

  This property does not live up to the Sheraton brand standard. The hotel feels outdated and honestly needs a full renovation — otherwise it might as well be turned into a museum. I stayed one night purely because of its convenient location near the airport. I had just come from the Sortis Hotel, Autograph Collection, which was superior in every way despite being priced almost the same. Given that, this Sheraton simply isn’t good value for money. The club lounge was underwhelming, but breakfast was even worse. As a Titanium member, I was initially told breakfast was included in the main restaurant. When I arrived, I was told it was only available in the club lounge. After some back and forth, the front desk finally confirmed with the restaurant that it was included. Honestly, the breakfast itself wasn’t even worth the hassle — poor selection, low quality, and the chafing dishes didn’t even look clean. Overall, this felt like a waste of money. I should have stayed at the Sortis, or perhaps tried the new Renaissance Panama Hotel instead. This Sheraton was a disappointing experience.

  Fair gym service

  Dear Marriott Customer Care Team, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the gym facilities at the Sheraton property in Panama, where I currently hold an annual membership. While I was aware at the time of purchase that certain amenities would not be available during late-night hours (as I usually attend around 11:00 PM), there are fundamental service standards that should still be maintained regardless of the schedule. Specifically, I am referring to the lack of basic hygiene provisions in the gym. On multiple occasions, the equipment is left in poor condition, often covered in sweat, and there are no towels available to properly clean the machines before or after use. This is particularly concerning, as the evening staff shift ends at 10:00 PM, and it appears that no adequate cleaning or restocking is ensured afterward. Additionally, although I understand that the locker room area is closed after 10:00 PM, the minimum expectation would be to consistently provide essential supplies such as disinfectant, paper towels, and cleaning towels. Unfortunately, these are frequently unavailable, leaving members without any means to maintain even basic hygiene standards. This situation does not align with what I would expect from a Sheraton-branded property and, by extension, reflects poorly on Marriott International’s global standards. I kindly request that this matter be reviewed and addressed, ensuring that minimum cleanliness and service standards are upheld at all hours for paying members.   Group travel - location

  This is an old hotel. Needs infrastructure upgrades but it served our purpose as we travelled with a group and it had a good location for our activities. It’s closer to the airport but quite far from Casco Viejo, also close to Multiplaza a large shopping center. There are good restaurants around the area, walking distance. The rooms definitely need upgrades and the cleaning service was mediocre. We were able to do early checking. Las Hadas restaurant has great pastry’s.

  If you want to use a plunger twice a day - stay here!! (But bring your own)

  Ridiculously dated hotel. Not kidding. A friend had to change rooms because of a terrible mold smell… The carpets in the hall are so old they also carry a bad “unclean” smell… We had to change rooms twice due to malfunctioning toilets. We got tired of having to call twice a day so we asked if we could keep a plunger so we wouldn’t have to keep calling the front desk and waiting for the maintenance people to come fix it and they said no. You’d think for a hotel who’s aware of the bad experience their guests are experiencing for days, they could afford a $2 plunger to try and do damage control… Not recommend staying here. But if you do, bring your own plunger, lol…

  Soundproofing needed

  We chose this hotel because it was close enough to the airport and still not too far from attraction sites. There were quite a few nice restaurants within walking distance or a short uber ride. The room was clean, and there was more than enough space to lay out our suitcases. A major problem I found was that there was a connecting door between our room and the next, which normally isn’t a problem since it’s locked anyways, but there was a 2 inch gap between the connecting door and the floor, so I could hear every single thing at full volume. I don’t know why they designed a door like this and hopefully they’ll replace this terrible design.
