  Unbelievable

  Amazing service. The rooms are beautiful. The location is amazing. That atmosphere is amazing on top of everything. The workers are just unbelievable.

  Amazing 5 Star Stay With Only Minor Complaints

  My wife and I had a fantastic eight-night stay at SLS Playa Mujeres. The hotel is modern, luxurious, and very well maintained, and the vast majority of the staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly. Overall, this was a five-star experience, and we would love to return. I want to recognize the people who genuinely stood out to us: First and foremost, David Martinez at The Market, who also served us once at Cleo lunch. His service was exceptional. He would greet us immediately and remember our preferences from previous days—our coffee, how we liked our eggs cooked, and even how many we wanted. Because we keep kosher, he remembered to bring us plastic utensils, and he made an effort to greet us with the Hebrew phrases he knew. Friendly, professional, thoughtful, and consistently attentive. He deserves recognition and opportunities to grow. Isandro at Cleo dinner was another standout. He had a relaxed, friendly manner and was attentive without being intrusive. He clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves, and his graciousness and appreciation made it a pleasure to thank him for his service. Eduardo at Lotus helped create a fantastic dining experience for us. He was very friendly, and we have only positive things to say about him. Selena at Cleo was also friendly and welcoming. Alejandro at Caracol deserves special recognition. He put real effort into making our evening special, helped us celebrate our anniversary, and combined professionalism with a great personality. His enthusiasm for giving guests a wonderful experience really came through. Justin, the bartender near the lobby, was friendly during our brief interactions. Santiago at reception was welcoming, professional, and had a lovely disposition. We did encounter a few issues during our stay, and we appreciate Erick, the manager of Cleo, and Santiago, the head of food and beverage, for helping resolve them. One suggestion for management: please make sure recognition extends to staff in less guest-facing roles, including housekeeping and those maintaining the property. Many employees smiled, greeted us, and contributed to our experience, but we never learned their names. Clearly readable name tags would help guests recognize them in reviews. I hope staff recognition and advancement also account for the valuable work of people who have fewer opportunities to receive personal shoutouts. Our main constructive feedback concerns noise from doors closing during morning housekeeping. Around 8:50–9:15 a.m., repeated loud door closures outside our room made sleeping in difficult. Training staff to gently close doors rather than allowing them to slam would make a meaningful difference for guests trying to rest. We appreciate how hard housekeeping works; this seems like a small operational adjustment management could address. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so enjoyable. We leave with wonderful memories and hope to come back.

  A wonderful weekend

  We had a great experience at SLS Playa Mujeres. We booked an elite room which had an incredible ocean view! Our butler, Angel, was amazing! He gave us a tour of the property when we first arrived and was available to answer all our questions! He replenished our water, other drinks and snacks (and anything else we needed) each day. It was so nice to have a person to ask questions to and make all of our dinner reservations or help with any excursions. We loved our stay and would definitely return. The food was delicious and we especially loved morning breakfast at The Market! The variety of foods, fruits and drinks were great. The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. It was a fun and safe place for our teenage boys to wander around alone and go to the gym or any of the restaurants by themselves. We wished the water right at the beautiful beach was more clear, but we did snorkel right at the beach and saw lots of fish and little sting rays (skates)! It was so fun!
