Can't wait to go back!
Christmas and New Year at the SoCo this year and it was the best time ever! We have been to this amazing gem of a hotel so many times but I must say that the food this time was the best ever and that says everything. So many wonderful guests along with the brilliant, friendly staff always make it so relaxing and is the reason we keep returning. Michelle always gets praise for her fantastic rum-tasting experience, Shane and Zak for such great cocktails (not to mention the dance lessons) from the bar. All the staff from Danielle at the front office, Deborah and everyone in the Kitchen, Pedro and the boys on security, Clive and the girls supervising in the restaurant, all the beautiful girls in the resaurant, thank you all and see you soon!

Rum tasting with Michelle was absolutely amazing, must do. The sunset was fantastic as well. Beach is incredible with walking distance to other beaches was easy, peasy, lemon squeezy

Lovely gem on the beach with awesome food and staff
What a lovely holiday! Yes, it is on a busy road and beepy taxis are a thing and they start early - so you might need ear plugs - but this small, friendly hotel is a fantastic place to stay. It never felt busy and always felt relaxing. and calm. The pool is nice and sheltered from wind, and most of the time there was no one in it, plenty of seating and sunloungers. You can hear the sound of sea all of the time, I loved this, all rooms can see the sea with a great balcony, and the sand is only down a few steps. It is walking distance to several beaches along the beach itself and with the Richard Haines Boardwalk which ends right outside the hotel. There is a general store close by, and bus / taxi stops right outside. All of the people working in this place make you feel at home, and nothing is too much trouble - it was nice to meet and talk with everyone and the level of service is very high. We did not know everybody's name sadly, Trudy in housekeeping was a star, Kayla, Shane, Michelle, and Zack.... the lovely ladies in the restaurant....all of them were so helpful. We were there for a 50th birthday and they did lovely things to assist in celebrating this. We discussed eating elsewhere a couple of times, but the food was sooooo good that we did not eat anywhere else all week. Freshly cooked, a different menu every 2 days - we couldn't eat all of it but we tried our best. It was a big part of how much we enjoyed staying here. Toby the hotel cat was a welcome addition - we love cats and he had the run of the place and was very sweet. Clean, comfortable in all ways, relaxed - it was a fabulous week in a beautiful place with beautiful people. Thank you all at The Soco Hotel! **We agonised about how to tip everyone and hoped for a communal pot, but when we asked, there is not one, so we ended up trying to tip as many people as we could in the last day or two - but it wasn't everyone and we felt bad about this because all of the staff work hard to make sure you have the best time.
