Fun with friends and thankful for the incredible hospitality
This was our second time to the St. James Club although this time we went with 5 other couples. We truly enjoyed the incredible views and relaxing in such a beautiful setting. Piccolo Mondo, one of the restaurants, has a nice menu with good variety, great service and a beautiful view - definitely worth the upcharge! Rianna, the General Manager, could not have been more accommodating and available - very eager to please! Unfortunately, our return home was delayed by 3 days due to a huge winter storm, the resort shuffled some rooms around and went out of their way to get us a room. Will definitely go back.

A wonderful family trip!
This resort has many great staff, but a couple who really stand out are: Ozzy who I think is always there- it seems he’s there early in the morning and really late at night! He runs the daily orientations, the pool sports, and the nightly activities too like trivia night and karaoke. Also, there’s a lovely hardworking gentleman named Rene who works every night cleaning up and making sure the beach and loungers are perfect for the guests for the next day! It’s staff like these two who help make your stay at the St James Club such an unforgettable experience! There are great excursions you can do right from the property like going on a catamaran and snorkelling where you can see sea turtles! There are many activities to do from the beach like volleyball, kayaking, paddle boarding. Also, there are tennis and pickle ball courts for those that enjoy being active. If you prefer to swim in a pool there are many to swim in and also a gym that’s open really late. There’s lots to do if you want to be busy or a great place to just relax and unwind as well.

A very nice place to hang your hat for a week
A great way to spend a week while being taken care of by all the wonderful staff at St James Club. From check in to check out, all of the things we needed to do went great. All the things we had a choice to do was above expectations. Our days started and ended at the coffee shop where we always were met with friendly and cheerful staff members or could use the self serve area to get an evening tea. The Buffett breakfast always had plenty of choices and the service staff were great. We spent a lot of time at the beach so we always went to the beach side grill and enjoyed several of the wonderful items on the menu and again, were served by wonderful staff. There are two sides of the resort for beaches, but unfortunately the winds made the Atlantic side a little rough and the red flag was flying most of the week so most of our time was spent on the bay side. I did manage to get out to snorkel on the Atlantic side twice and was very surprised with the sea life I found there. On both occasions I was graced to have a spotted Eagle Ray come and swim with me. There were small reef fish, lobsters, and a shy octopus hiding in the coral. There were lots options for dinner and we were impressed by the choices of food. Different themed dinners every night, with lots of choices for food. One complaint though is the booking system for some of the restaurants. I went early to the desk to book for the following day and being the only one there when staff started at the desk I was surprised that all of the earlier times were already taken and I could only book an 8:30 time. When I asked who had already booked I learned that the people who book suites can reserve earlier. Also there were some bookings done earlier than they should have been able by some of the staff. If we return, we will not bother booking Cocos again. The food was great but not worth the wait for us. There is another restaurant that we could have booked but the extra cost did not appeal to us. We were very entertained by Elvis at the bar on several occasions, and most of the bar staff seem to go out of their way to give you what you are asking for. The beach BBQ and entertainment was fantastic, just make sure you use bug spray as the little biting bugs can be bad. We truly enjoyed our stay as it was a great place to relax and enjoy the great warm weather and sunshine. We would consider returning in the future as it was one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at. I can see this Hotel being a challenge for someone with mobility issues as the grounds are built on a hill and getting from one area to the other can be difficult.

Amazing week at the St James Antigua
We spent the week at St James Club in Antigua with a tennis & pickleball Group. Ozzie and Keshna did an amazing job taking care of our group and filling our days with endless activities! The GM and reservations team went out of his way to accommodate our group when we had to extend our trip b/c of snow back home and the rooms are beautiful overlooking the ocean or bay the resort has water views everywhere you go. We will definitely be back. The proximity of the resort to the English harbor is also a bonus for a fun evening out!

Fantastic Resort and Experiance
This is a really nice resort. We were there with a group of 66 people on a group tennis and pickle ball trip and I was the TA. First, SJC was really great to work with during the entire booking and stay process. The initial booking efforts were smooth and easy. But then the first test came....We had a winter storm come thru and people wanted to arrive earlier than originally booked. Sherrie was absolutely fantastic and figured out how to get everybody a room two days earlier than originally scheduled. SJC was very accommodating when we asked for exclusive court times. Nina worked with us on courts schedules and Keshna the activities supervisor was there every day making sure we all had what we needed for our tennis and PB clinics. She's awesome. And the staff. Wow, the staff there is really good. Alton the front desk manager, Breanne and Ashkia were great when 60 of us arrived and checked in. But then the NEXT test came. Winer storm #2 hit and our flights home were cancelled. Alton and team did not miss a beat. Alton got on the computer and figured out how to get us all rooms for an extra night and then literally rolled up his sleeves and personally went and helped housekeeping get some of those rooms ready for us. Best service I've ever had at a resort. Now let's talk about the resort itself. The place is beautiful. Surrounded on three sides by water, there isn't a bad view anywhere. There are several onsite restaurants, and the food was really good. The fish tacos at Eleven-Eleven are really good.. The burger at the Beachside Grill is great. Dinner at Docksider is a great differently themed buffet every night. But the Saturday evening beach party was the best. What a spread! All kinds of different food is available and the entertainment is non-stop. You can lounge by one of several onsite pools or by the ocean or by Mamora Bay. The tennis courts are Omni Turf and provide a nice playing surface. I'll have to leave the review of the pickle ball courts to somebody else, as I did not play PB while I was there. I would definitely go back again and I highly recommend it.
