Great location, great staff and great value!!
We had a fantastic stay, I requested an ocean front room on the second floor to maximise the views. (See photos of sunset and fishermen), from our balcony. It was beautiful to wake up to the ocean and hear the waves at night. The staff were always on hand to offer advice, tips and even provided a room for us to change ahead of going to the airport. Kelly in the office and the ladies on reception are an asset to the hotel. Always met us with a warm smile, they're great ambassadors for St Kitts. The house keeping and maintenance crew kept the grounds looking great and the rooms always nice and clean after a days exploration. Location wise there are lots of options in walking distance to grab breakfast or brunch to start your day. There are two supermarkets to get essentials from. We stocked up on water and local drinks. The beach has lots of comments about the condition etc. However as my photo shows if you turn right and walk a short distance it opens up and is lovely for a beach walk or watching the sun come up. We only used the pool area on our last day, which was perfect as we checked out then enjoyed the pool area, before heading to grab some lunch and chilling at Patsy's Bar on the Frigate Bay strip. There was ample car park space when we got our rental. Only once did we have to park across the road from the property. We took advantage of the BA Holiday Sale, which meant when we told people how much we paid. They couldn't believe it, as the flight alone is often the same price as what we paid for everything. Would definitely stay here again, we saw the other options nearby and whilst fancier etc. Sugar Bay ticked all the boxes! Nuff respect to the all the staff who made our stay a great one. Hotel need modernization and up-to-date with the 21st century.
It beggars believe why you charge more than Royal St.Kitts Hotel, when it's a much better hotel all round with immaculate grounds, lovely reception, modern rooms without the orange and colourful drapes and curtains. Rooms well kitted out with white beddings which I like. The Sugar Bay, is run down and needs a good refurbishing. The reception not appealing, as you walk thru reception to the rooms like a dump. No flowers on the grounds just mud looking. I recommend to stay at the Royal St.Kitts, more attractive, has a gym unlike Sugar Bay, staff are lovely and you have the Marriott across the road, shops, restaurants and bobby's chicken wings and more. You won't be disappointed.

The Good, the Great and the No so Good.
The good: the hotel is in a fantastic location and there are several restaurants etc in walking distance. There are several pools available for use. The room was clean and has a kitchenette and was made up every day. The great: The staff was very helpful. Absolutely pleasant and assisted on every side. The grounds are lovely. Lots of trees and plants that made the hotel feel homey. The not so good: the building is older and the rooms just a little bit outdated. Not speaking about maintaining an "older style", but things would need to updated soon to keep the place in optimal performance. The thing they have no control over: the beach right next to the hotel is not a bathable beach. You can take in the breeze and look out on the ocean, but to bathe there is to risk your life. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Fun in the sun
Sugar Bay Club is a nice hotel, but definitely not a "resort" If you don't want to rent a car for your trip to St Kitts, this is the place for you. It is an easy walk to lots of restaurants, two grocery stores, and the beach on the Caribbean side. Hotel has two pools with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Swimming in the Atlantic in this area is not advised due to strong currents. Hotel does not offer any entertainment like a bar/club or organized activities. We were a little disappointed in the room. But the room was clean, it just needed updating.
