Jan 27, 2026It's idyllic
I'm sitting on my double sun bed facing the beach in bungalow 18. It's a little before sunset, all I can hear is the sea and the branches of the palm trees swaying in the breeze. It's idyllic. We'll go get cocktails soon and dinner in the beautiful Saltwood restaurant - great food. The staff are genuinely interested in us, their vibe is not forced and the smiles reach their eyes. Our villa did smell a little musty on our arrival and it wasn't the best start, but the resort soon started to weave it's magic. Breakfasts are excellent, the beach is beautiful, just steps away from our bungalow and it feels, in January, not too packed. Thanks to our Butler Michaela who just makes things happen whenever we need it. This resort is effortlessly chic with fantastic artwork all around. We want to return.

Superb
Just back from a week here and it was superb. Exceeded expectations. The whole resort area is beautiful. Wonderful manicured gardens and surrounds to all the villas. We were in Villa 710 which was great. Secluded but also with views out to the water. The food in all the restaurants was great. Wide variety and choice across all the restaurants. Definitely have a burger at the Jetty. We did not have a bad or even average meal. The service everywhere was excellent. The resort apparently had a 75% occupancy for the week of 12/1 but neither the beach, pool or any other part of the resort in any way feel busy. Always got a lounger any time of the day. It is not an adults only resort but for our stay there were very few children. I understand, understandably, the Christmas and New Year does have a lot of children. The shuttle service within the resort was very efficient. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. All the drivers were always happy and upbeat. We did the walk to the market in the local town. It was enjoyable and interesting but the market is quite small with little variety but we were glad we got out to the local area. Finally, a thank you to all staff. Too many to mention individually. All very cheerful and nothing was too much. They made the holiday. We will be back.

Paradise
This an amazing resort. I could not recommend it more. Amazing location. Staff that could not be friendlier. Food that could not be better. I cannot wait to go back.

Celebrating special occasions health and career
The service is top notch especially Michela, the Butler. She made everything so easy with a smile and lots of energy! The food was tasty but overpriced. However the breakfast is second to none with something for everyone GF, vegan etc. the rooms were kept clean. The dive shop was the best-Vetis and the captains were very accommodating !! My only complaint is that while water hydration is available everywhere, you are charged at meals for water and also for Diet Coke at breakfast! The spa ethics are overrated but the facial by Michelle and the massage by Yvonne were awesome.

Beautiful lagoon between 2 mountains , excellent service - top notch. Excellent breakfast, you fill like leaving in a postcard.

- Current Renovations: Description: The Jalousie Plantation is undertaking a general refurbishment as well as the construction of new luxury beachfront villas. The plantation is 192 acres, some noise disruption should be expected. Major projects will be screened off, but may still be visible
from the restaurants, beach and pool areas.
With all of the refurbishment work, disruption to guests in house is being kept to a minimum, all
facilities remain fully operational during this period.
The work continues until further notice.
