  Unit 17 is Fabulous

  Stayed at Sunrise Beach Villas on Paradise Island, Bahamas. Had originally booked Unit 16, but they were doing repairs, so they gave us Unit 17—an upgrade from 4 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms for no extra charge. Super nice unit overlooking the beach with an amazing deck. We had six adults, two kids (8 & 11), and an 8-month old. So much room!! The unit had an on-suite bathroom for every bedroom plus a 1/2 bath off of the living room. Very well supplied from garbage bags, laundry supplies, beach towels, shampoo, soap, beverage fridge, two washer and dryers, board games, etc. The upstairs had two bedrooms and a nice sitting room overlooking the main floor with a leather sofa, computer, gaming table (which my grandkids and their dad used a lot). It was a short walk to the beach, which was never crowded and close to the back pool (sometimes we were the only ones there). You could walk to the Atlantis Marina in about 10 minutes. Some complain that the grounds could be revamped, but the location is spot on!! We’d definitely go back.

  Sunrise Beach Clubs and Villas Paradise Island, Bahamas Such a great location and setting. We had 24/7 access to the pools and the beach right out the back of the property. There is a restaurant/bar on the property called Viola's that has good food and a great island vibe. It is just a 10 minute walk or 5 minute ride down to the plaza, Atlantis and all the local attractions. Honestly I could have just stayed on the property and the beach outback the whole vacation without disappointment. I absolutely recommend this place. I would only add and ask that in your experience you consider the locals and support them whenever possible be it a taxi, souvenir or services. We enjoy their land and give all our money to the big corporations that are NOT giving back to the local communities. In fact they are choking them out on the hustles they have utilized for decades to provide for their families while the big bank companies squeeze every penny of profit out of us all. The locals were so welcoming to my entire family. Spread Luv. Bless up Bahamas!

  Cost benefit ratio - Top notch!

  We had an amazing time here as a couple, especially from our European perspective. Cabbage Beach is just a short walk from your doorstep. We felt so welcome and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Everyone at the resort is working hard to make you feel valued. They even have a securty guard 24/7. We did have a minor issue with #205, but we were quickly moved to a better condo without any cost. Plus, the manager treated us to a free meal and drinks to make up for the trouble. If we ever come back to the Bahamas, Sunrise Beach Villas will definitely be our first choice.

  The best Bahamas trip yet!

  We spent 6 nights at the resort after a terrible AIRBNB experience nearby. We decided to cross the street and check the property out. We ended up staying in Villa #16 which is the 4 bed 4 bathroom villa. This property is very well laid out, very well appointed, lots of space for everyone and the most fantastic deck and ocean view I've experienced yet. The property is a 10 to 15 minute easy walk to Atlantis, and 10 to the grocery and liquor stores. Very easy to get around. Of course it goes without saying that the beach was fantastic. Not only were the accommodations wonderful, the staff and a special group of residents we met while there, made the trip even better. Special shout out to Claudette (an amazing lady at the front desk) Justin/Jacob/the ladies at the bar and the cleaning staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Also special thanks to Nichole, Emily, Marissa and their families. (sorry for any spelling mistakes) Thanks for letting us hang out with you. It was a pleasure to meet you all and we hope we see you again. . We are already talking about when we will return.

  Villa

  We stayed in one of the poolside villas, and unfortunately, the condition of the unit was very disappointing. The appliances were old and worn, and the TVs were extremely outdated — the picture quality was barely in color, and they did not work. The villa is in desperate need of an update. The carpet is very old and had an unpleasant smell, making the space uncomfortable. The stairs inside the unit were another major concern — they are very steep and felt unsafe, especially when carrying luggage up to the bedroom. We were initially very happy to see there was an on-site restaurant, Viola’s, but that was another disappointment. The service was slow, and the food quality was poor. On our first morning, we ordered breakfast and the eggs were runny and raw. Other items we ordered during our stay were often missing ingredients, even though they were supposedly available. This villa is part of the main property, and overall, my family and I were extremely disappointed with the accommodations and dining experience. That said, the location and the beach are absolutely beautiful — words can’t describe how stunning it is. The setting itself is breathtaking, but unfortunately, the condition of the villa and the restaurant experience took away from what could have been a great stay.
