Overall, service was great. Food was good with pretty good variety. Some staff were just okay, but those staff members that were engaging, they were excellent. Good value for all inclusive resort.

Jan 21, 2026SUNSCAPE CANCUN AVERAGE FAMILY RESORT. NEEDS RENOVATION AND NEW DECOR
Our likes: Me and my husband were in resort in mid January 2026, we loved the location, beach and crystal clear water. Our room was on last floor and had ocean view that was enjoyable. Room was a good size with new furniture and nice pictures on walls. In general the hotel had good food including variety of fruits, veggies, fish, and meat. We loved swimming pool as the water was warm (heated) and we were able to spent some time in it. We enjoyed entertainment by the pool and waitress service by the pool was fantastic. Our dislikes: About the facility by itself, the resort was build years ago in 1986, and undergone major renovation, that was done later. The resort became part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program, and should be a luxury place. Unfortunately the resort was ordinary average place that had nothing to do with luxury or 5 start. Cheap furniture in lobby, strange decor behind the main desk, dining areas with old tables and chairs, flooring and stairs throughout the hotel had chips. Palms outside that had old dry leaves and gazebos with old black color roofs. Umbrellas on the beach looked so old and ugly. Evening restaurants needed better dish presentations as for main course we had meat with rice and 2 pieces of broccoli. Evening time was almost no entertainment and we asked about billiards location, we were told that we have to pay extra 40$ for a night to be able to have an access to member club with billiard and premium drinks. Good place for not picky travelers with kids. Not worth the money

Rest and relaxation
Luis and Maria in the spa were fantastic! Great deep tíssue and stress relief massages. Luis’s hands and technique are heaven sent. They both have firm, strong confident hands that find all the right places. The cabañas on the beach are amazing. Fernando does a great job managing the cabañas and is so on top of things. The food is good. Plenty of choices and options. Sometimes it is a longer wait for dinner but we just wait at the bar. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would come here again.

Martin is the GOAT
Was a very good experience for a girls trip. Food and service were really good. Spa was nice. The only things that were not was the facial itself being like a body scrub on your face, and the pool “entertainment”. Be warned if you just want to relax by the pool. Martin was our waiter one night and he took such good care of us. The next day he saw us waiting in the lobby and found out it was my sister's birthday and moved up our wait time and set up a celebration for her. He was so kind and really made our trip memorable. The service was great. Everyone was really nice. The food was better than at most all inclusive.
