    Avoid

    Very old and broken down. We lost power and our room did not have a generator back up and then we found ants in all of our food that we had left on the kitchen counter.

    A safe and economical alternative on a budget

    If you are on a budget, and need accommodations…you will be fine here. You and your belongings will be safe and you will have a place to rest your head. The real bonus is the customer service. Because it is a family affair, they will take good care of you. If you need anything, they will try to accommodate your needs. I value this much more than anything. Don’t come in with high expectations of vacation villa, and you won’t be disappointed. Take it for what it is. Accommodations that are literally half the cost anything else in St. Thomas.

    I'm still itching from a week ago of staying here!

    Upon arrival toilet had urine in it. Starting getting bit up by gnats and possibly bed bugs so went to Kmart to get bug spray. I called around crying trying to book somewhere else but everything was booked up. Second day in the morning their was a dead waterbug in bathroom. Housekeeping never came to clean room because bug was still there that night. Everything in the room was outdated and didn't look safe. Their was a bunch of signs saying don't touch this don't touch that or else I could lose water or my direct TV wouldn't work. Refrigerator had dried up food in it. The bathroom had a window that didn't have a curtain to fit it so you were able to look directly outside. I took a wash up in the kitchen sink being afraid of catching some foot fungus or someone peeking inside at me.

    Amazing place to stay!

    Sunset Gardens is an amazing place to stay with everything you could need for a perfect and relaxing vacation. Deb, who manages the hotel, is so kind and friendly and truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome when I checked in. Fay at the Front Desk always brightened my day with her sunny personality. I booked the hotel for a longer stay and could not be happier with my decision. This place has a great vibe and a great view as well! Thank you Deb and Fay for everything! — Peter F.

    Don't go by the name.

    Don't go by the name, you can't see the sunset. Had to book this hotel last minute because the condo we rented canceled 7 days before our trip. Big mistake. There are bugs. A.C. is loud. Noise from the neighborhood doesn't stop. Dogs barking, people yelling, and after 4 a.m. sounds like 100 or so roosters all waking up at the same time. Had coffee for the first morning but when I went to the office to get more I was told coffee was only complimentary for the first night. The view is great, can't deny that. Spend a little more, go somewhere else, you won't regret it.
