May 12, 2026Great location, BAD noise!!!!
Tantalo has a great location in Casco Viejo, and the overall vibe of the hotel is modern, stylish, and lively. The food was good, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay more enjoyable. However, the reception staff left a very bad impression—they came across as rude and had an entitled attitude that did not feel welcoming at all. The biggest issue was the noise. The rooftop bar plays extremely loud music, and it goes on until around 2am. If you’re someone who likes to sleep before then, you’re basically out of luck. It was far louder than expected and made it difficult to rest. To make things worse, someone had the brilliant idea of putting a DJ right in the reception area. The lobby has an open layout connected to the rooms, so the music blasted through the hotel until around 11pm or midnight. It was unnecessarily loud and made relaxing in the room almost impossible. Another inconvenience was the restroom drain being clogged. After my husband showered, I had to wait about 30 minutes for the water to drain before I could use the shower myself, which was frustrating. Overall, the hotel has great potential because of its location, food, and atmosphere, but the noise, maintenance issues, and poor reception experience made the stay far less enjoyable than expected.

Never stayed at the hotel, but the restaurant used to be my favorite. Unfortunately, I think it changed ownership...definitely changed chef. Now it's 🤮. Had a bad experience in November, then my friends have reported similar since then. What a shame....used to be so good. I wanted them to cater my pool party in December, but NOPE 🙄. Would like to go back there at some point.

We were looking for a quick lunch. Most device in Panama was bad but the service here was good. Reasonable prices. Buffalo chix wrap was big and tasty.

No sleep
Do not stay here unless you’re ok going to bed after 2am. The roof top bar definitely keeps you awake until at least 2am. Beds are old and too soft

Workmates dinner
Amazing service. Oscar is a top-notch host and waiter. The food was excellent, the drinks Amazing and delicious! The octopus and the fish ceviche are so flavourful. Yum
