  Excellent hotel

  Great weekend in a lovely hotel. Handy to the centre of Dublin & Aviva. Great staff and facilities. Lovely breakfast with much choice.

  Chic and cheerful (and great location!)

  My experience at The Alex was absolutely delightful. Special shout-out to Simón Ramirez, who went above and beyond to help us during our stay, from check-in to check-out, offering great recommendations and the most positive vibes! This was our first time in Dublin and the location was perfect for exploring - easy walk to everywhere, with two great cafés nearby, too (Tang and Bear Market are fantastic). The rooms were stylish and very clean - with comfy beds, great pillows and blackout shades. There was a tiny bit of street noise on Saturday night but nothing that kept us awake; we felt safe and cozy even when the rain and wind were pounding.

  An amazing experience

  Great location near to the city centre and museums. The room was very spacious, quiet, always clean, modern but cozy. Amazing atmosphere. The staff was excellent. The cleaning ladies Kaitlin and Marcial took great care of the room and Simon Ramirez in the reception area helped us in everything we needed, giving us directions, proposing places to go to and made our stay memorable. And the pricing was great. Breakfast was amazing also and all the staff there welcomed us every morning with a smile and a huge buffet! When we go home we need to go on a diet. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and everything was so tasty and well prepared and presented. Five stars to all.

  Hospitality is often a subjective concept. For many travelers, the gold standard is a long, warm welcome at reception filled with local tips and leisurely conversation. While that’s wonderful, true hospitality is also about understanding exactly what the guest needs in their specific context. In my case, I had a 30-second window to check out and sprint to the airport, all while facing a logistical headache: a package arriving at the hotel after my departure that needed to be rerouted to the US. Simon handled the situation with incredible professionalism. He immediately understood the urgency, we exchanged the necessary details with zero friction, and I was able to walk out the door with total peace of mind knowing the matter was in capable hands. I was greet with that "warm welcome" style of service when I checked in. But on a day when I needed efficiency and reliability they delivered exactly what the situation called for. Highly recommended for travelers who value a team that is sharp, professional, and adaptable.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay at The Alex – Perfect Location & Outstanding Service in Dublin

  We stayed at The Alex Hotel in Dublin 2 for two separate nights, with a trip to Galway in between, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Ireland. If you’re looking for a city centre hotel in Dublin within walking distance of Trinity College, Grafton Street, and major attractions, The Alex is perfectly located. It’s ideal for exploring Dublin on foot while still offering a quiet, comfortable retreat at the end of the day. On our first night, the weather was particularly rough — classic Irish winter — and the hotel was the perfect refuge. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. There was a temporary TV provider issue affecting the area (unfortunate timing, as it was the first Six Nations match!), but it was a minor inconvenience, and the team handled it professionally. We stored two bags during our overnight trip to Galway, and the process was seamless. What truly made our stay exceptional was the service — especially from Zaida. When we returned for our second night, our luggage was already waiting in our room, and we were welcomed with a thoughtful message and pastries. That personal touch made a big difference. Zaida went above and beyond: she kindly offered access to the 6th floor and arranged a later checkout without hesitation. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care elevated our experience from “very good” to “memorable.” We highly recommend The Alex Hotel for anyone visiting Dublin — whether for a city break or business trip. We would absolutely stay here again.
