Very poor dated hotel
Pools nice, fight everyday to get a chair. Restaurants serve very basic salty meals and service is very poor. Can't recommend this too anyone. Weather was good and town nice.

Our Home away from Home
My Mother and i just got back from our fourth annual trip to the Hacienda Krystal Grand, and for the fourth time in a row it was nothing short of amazing. The day we got to this hotel 4 years ago, we knew that this was a place we would keep coming back. It was amazing seeing all of the staff again, and as usual, Santos, Jesus, Nemian, Marco, Candido, Luis, Valentine, David, Miguel, Manuel, Melanie, Marissa and lastly Ernesto were fantastic. This year was the first year that we weren’t super pleased with our room, the first day there was a sewer smell, and Ernesto the manager was right on it and got maintenance over within 15 minutes. For the remainder of the trip we didn’t have all that much hot water, and again, Ernesto had maintenance over immediately, which helped for a few days and then went back to cold water, so we had to be very selective on the times that we showered. We were in the furtherest building from the lobby, and that was our first stay in that building, and we now know for future we prefer either of the others. Mom and I aren’t big complainers so we really hated having Ernesto Basically living in our room with us, but we also knew that there were a couple weddings the weeks we were there and the hotel had absolutely no where else to move us. In the end, all we really do is sleep in our room, so as inconvenient as the shower was, that will never be a deal breaker for us. The people that we meet every year turn out to be such amazing friends, and since the first year we have planned to meet some of our friends back again in other years we have gone. We have been home for 4 days and are both wishing we were still there as we never want to leave. So many of the reviews always have such negative things to say about this hotel, primarily the food. Does this hotel have 5 star quality food? No. But to we EVER leave hungry at either the buffet or any of the restaurants? Absolutely not. If the food is a deal breaker for you at hotels then this resort might not be for you, it’ll leave room for the people who go for the atmosphere and the wonderful wonderful staff. Mom and I are already planning to come back for our fifth visit and we can’t wait, only about 350 more days until we are back to our home away from home!

A great place to relax
This is the quiet side of the Kyrstal Hotel. No kids, No pool activities and easy listening music. Lots of pool side lounges. Room is spacious. We had a few issues, but they were delt with quickly. You are a little walk to the main hotel and and the ocean. They have lots of trees and vegetation. It is home to some Iquanas also,

If you like noise and very loud music all day long
The good. Room at the Hacienda was great. Nice pools. Good wine, coffee and fruits The bad: Very average food. Don’t look for guacamole. It is really basic. No pasta bar or pizza like all the other club have.more like a 3 stars The NOISE level. Around the Krystal ground and pool is totally insane. It is side by side with the main buffet. If you sit outside, you can’t have a conversation. And it goes on until 8pm The worst: if you happened to be there like I am when there is a wedding, the whole outside hacienda area becomes like a huge disco. Yelling and music so loud that even with the balcony doors closed, we can’t hear each other in the room. Management said that they need that business and it goes on at least until 23pm. Totally ridiculous. I will never recommend that hotel.

A Great Time was had at The Hacienda!
Our stay at The Hacienda was very nice. The staff is excellent! The food was very good, especially at the a la carte restaurants. There are a lot of places to sit and visit away from the pool areas, but the furniture is somewhat uncomfortable if you're a bit older like us. Our room at The Hacienda was very nice, lots of room in it, but again our chairs on our balcony were quite uncomfortable to sit in. The pool area is very quiet, but if you want more music and action the pool at the Krystal Grand is a fun spot. Overall we had a great stay with friends.
