Dec 03, 2025Much needed getaway!
This was our 4th time to this property and usually one of our favorites. We were in room 6007 this time and while our room had a pool, it was situated in the shade for the majority of the day. For that reason, we didn't use the pool as much as we have in the past. This is a great resort, but the lack of communication between departments needs serious improvement. We had an issue checking in that took us days to figure out with 8 different staff members. Super frustrating and a disappointing way to start a vacation. Overall, the staff is fantastic, the food is excellent in all of the restaurants and the service is top notch. I had two different massage experiences and Fernando has magic hands. One of the best massages I have ever had. Chef Ines cooked us a delicious lobster dinner at Portofino and our butler Eleonora was very good at keeping everything in check during out stay. We will definately come back!

Myself and my friends had a great time all round, the food and drinks were awesome. We spent a big chunk of our time at the infinity pool where Luis Gerardo the pool butler really made our stay easy and comfortable, he was always there making sure we had wanted ever we needed. Thanks Luis see you next time!

We had a fantastic time at TRS. Great service and delicious food along with impeccable surroundings and lucky to have perfect weather. Many of the employees contributed to the success of our vacation. Luis Gerardo (the pool butler) was such a pleasure to see every day. Always checking up to make sure that everything was going smoothly and assisting with our chairs, towels, and umbrellas. He is definitely an asset to this resort. Lucy always made sure our drinks were full with a smile. If you are going to the spa, which I highly recommend, make sure to find the Spa guy AKA Dyno for some daily specials. He is a really funny guy also which was a delight. I received a wonderful pedicure from Cartina. We found the food around the resort to be exceptional. Manuel at Helios and Marco at Tentazoine really stood out and helped to make our dinners special. Bamboo was delicious and had a wonderful Pad Thai. Ate there multiple times. Ashley and Arturo were always a pleasure to see daily when we went for lunch at Helios which has a great buffet plus table service if you want to order and a nice ice cream bar. Don’t delay, book today and I’m sure you will have a wonderful vacation.

Honeymoon
we had an amazing stay and the whole resort was beautiful. the staff couldn’t do enough for you and were all so kind and personable but a particular shoutout to the below: chic cabaret - sonia butlers - alex & belen bartenders at gaia - pedro & maria pool / towels attendant - angel

The Treasure of the Mayan
We arrived the morning of November 06 and our transportation was ready and waiting for us, which was fantastic. Check in at the resort was good except for the fact that we had to wait until after 3:00pm for our rooms. We did a quick change and started checking out the resort. It’s a big resort, very pretty, with lots of wildlife…one of the prettiest resorts we’ve been to. Both our rooms were nice and we had a few minor hiccups that were very quickly resolved. In one room we had all our gifts, bottles, and fruit/sweets all in the room upon arrival. In the other room it took several days, and some things were never addressed at all. We had pretty good meals and enjoyed our à la carte reservations with the Brazilian being all of our favorite. All of the staff here are extremely friendly and caring from the cart drivers, butlers, waiters, bartenders, beach attendants, maids, and even the gardeners were all amazing and it made for a great experience where we all felt welcomed and appreciated. To be welcomed by name after only a day or two by Luna, first thing in the morning at Capricho, and then have the friendly Daniel know immediately our order was a nice personal treat. We had great service from several of the great staff at Capricho who even presented us with two “Special Farewell Cakes”the day we were leaving complete with a nice personal card. Hope we see you again soon too Daniela, Sonya. Luna, good luck with your studies. I know that we’ll be back to this wonderful place. There’s a lot more to explore and enjoy.
