  Great Hotel and wonderful location

  Hotel and location were great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The whole resort was a great experience and having access to all locations made the choose of where to eat, drink and relax great. Helios for breakfast and lunch were always great fun, Daniel the waiter made our stay special with a cake and candle on my birthday. Jessica, Jorge and Alex the Butlers in block 67 were always very helpful. The only slight down side was our suite and pool area could do with some TLC as it was looking a bit tired. Overall we had a great stay and will hopefully return.

  Exceptional

  Another perfect visit to paradise! We spent another 2 weeks here and Everything was exceptional as usual and the staff made it feel like home. The grounds are beautiful and we love walking around exploring, seeing all the animals and plants. We didn’t spend much time at the beach this year but it was beautiful- staff are managing the sargassum very well and to be honest, there wasn’t much floating around in the sea either - I’ve seen it far worse in previous years. The pool was stunning and the staff working around it were always so helpful and friendly. We ate at a number of restaurants this time including Helios, el gaucho, Tentazione, La boheme, el dorado, portofino, sumptuori and the sports bar. We did not have a bad or disappointing meal in the whole two weeks and we were served by exceptional staff each time. Special thank you and shout out to Lourdes, Edwin, gabriela, Ashley, Martha, Daniel and Daniel at Helios - they looked after us every day and always brought so much joy and care to their work. Miriam also did a fantastic job looking after us at many different restaurants- she is so professional and warm and always makes it feel like we’ve come home! Our butlers in villa 69 were super helpful and friendly - thank you again Susana and Eric but also our excellent butler from last year, George, who stepped in on a few days - it was wonderful to see him again, he is a real credit to the hotel. The bar staff in the lobby and the infinity pool were excellent as usual, as were the bell boys and the wonderful Hector on the cart. Cleaning and turn down services in villa 69 were top notch and the room itself was beautiful. Food and drinks everywhere were excellent - highly recommend the spicy margarita in the lobby bar and anything in Churchill’s bar (kantenah lobby)! The new pizza stop is an excellent addition - highly recommend trying this. Fish tacos in Helios are incredible, also the ribs in tamarind sauce and the meat paella. Grilled cheese starter in el gaucho was a winner plus the flank steak and pepper sauce. Lamb chops in la boheme were delicious and it was great to see the cheese fondue still available as a starter - my favourite! Sushi in sumptuori was excellent as was the tempura ice cream. We had two rainy days but there was plenty to do - we walked miles round the resort and played games in the lobby, enjoyed the balcony jacuzzi bath and sampled many cocktails. Just beware of the mosquitos especially when it’s been raining - they are monstrous here and bites spring up like eggs for me. I’ve found jungle formula to be highly effective and on the rare occasion they outsmart me and bite, I find after bite and hydrocortisone cream to work really well. Absolutely love being so close to nature and seeing the wildlife happily living alongside guests. Sea was a little too choppy for snorkelling this year but on previous visits we’ve had a blast exploring the sea. Can’t wait to rebook for next year and come back to paradise and see all of the wonderful staff again!

  Mixed feelings

  Writing this with 6 days left of our holiday . We have been to trs 3 times previously and a lot has changed most not for the better . Drinks liquor is top shelf but the champagne they use to serve in trs has been replaced with the cheapest sparkling wine which is nasty also you use to be able to get several White House wines not any more Chardonnay is the only option again cheaper brands . Booking restaurants it states 15 restaurants across the 4 hotels which you have access to,due to low occupancy many are open 3 nights max making booking other than the 4 in trs difficult . When booking la pasiana we booked for 8pm we’re not seated til 8.37 and food arrived after 9 not ideal . Having said that helios la boheme eis nu and breakfast at the nest is excellent . For the money we paid with BA with premium economy we still can’t find a hotel that gives us the same standard for the money paid . Fortunately the staff are amazing and pull out all the stops for make your stay amazing unfortunately I cannot say the same for the invisible management still awaiting a reply to an e mail sent last week .

  Authentic Italian food in Mexico

  The food by Chrf Luis Ramos was excellent. The services by Waiter Fernando were the best we have ever had
