Best food I’ve ever had at a resort. Attentive and friendly service. Pools were fabulous, beach was small but clean. Seaweed was dragged every morning. Was told this is a first for them with that issue. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Great 5 days.

We just returned from a visit to one of our favorite places in Mexico. Unico continues to impress us each time we visit for these reasons: Atmosphere/ Accomodations: when you walk into the lobby, the amazing smell makes you feel calm and ready to relax. The overall rustic modern design is just beautiful. We stay in The one bedroom Estancia suites and they are perfect for us. They have a large living room, kitchen area, and an extra bathroom. The large bedroom and master bath makes it easy to spend two weeks here. We also take advantage of the large deck that faces the ocean. Food: the food at Unico is delicious. All restaurants are delicious and even after being there for two weeks, we always found new foods to try. We loved having breakfast at MiCarisa in the morning. It is so peaceful and lovely. I have to mention every person there, because they all took amazing care of us. Fernanda and Dulce greeted us at the door everyday with the biggest smiles and Luis, Mariana, Paty, Grace, Israel, Gonzalo and Chef Miguel Machorro took care of our every need during our meals. This was honestly the best way to start our day! MiCarisa at night is the Italian, and has amazing food. We always enjoy visiting with Irving. He makes sure everything is perfect for our supper. Henry was an awesome waiter. Mura house is the Asian, and Diana and Angel always welcome us with a smile! The food here is also delicious! 2087 has wonderful steak and seafood, and our favorite waitress is Suzanna. She is so efficient and friendly! We really Enjoy the Mexican restauant, the hostess Ximena is the best. Always greets us by name. Raul and Alhair were wonderful waiters. They are both so helpful when trying to decide what to choose for our meals. Pools: the service at the pools is awesome. We had bartenders Edy, Anderson, Jesus, Oscar and wait staff: Lisbeth, Sara, Alberto, and Cony. So good! The butler teams at Unico are amazing. We are lucky enough to have Carlos and Eduardo who go over the top to take care of us. They take care of everything we need, sometimes before we even ask! We cannot ask for better care! The spa is also a big part of our stay. I had a pedicure by Susana, and it was wonderful. My favorite massage therapist are Karla and Anastasia. I had 5 massages. I would recommend the 4 handed massage. It is heaven! Overall, Unico is a small slice of heaven. We love the adults only, calm, relaxed atmosphere along with the phenomenal service we receive each time we visit!

Another great Hard Rock vacation.
Room was in the spot we asked for as well as the pool chairs. Thank you to our Butlers Israel and Roger for the attention to details. We enjoyed your company and were so glad you listened to our wishes, making our vacation memorable. Hope to be there again in the future.

A Great Experience at UNICO
This was our first visit to UNICO, which we chose at the advice of our travel agent. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The resort is well appointed and maintained, with lots of options for dining and poolside relaxation. And the staff is extraordinary. We wish to recognize the exemplary service and assistance provided during our stay by several members of the UNICO staff: First and foremost, our local host, Fernando, went far beyond our expectations in terms of his professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, availability and attentiveness. He is truly an invaluable asset to UNICO. In addition, we'd like to thank pool staff members Amid, Isaias, Diego and Lisbeth for their tireless assistance and friendliness. They have very demanding jobs, and they perform them extraordinarily well. Our thanks also go to Enrique at the Bar Balam and to Daniel at the poolside snack bar for their great service. In addition to those named above, we found everyone on the resort staff to be pleasant and eager to help. On a less positive note, we found the volume and duration of the music during the Pool Parties on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday to be excessive, which may be a factor in our decision to return to this resort.

Mar 18, 2025Little and interrupted sleep, no food available on arrival. Refused to change rooms or be reimbursed for early checkout.
This was our first time at Unico. We arrived at 4:30pm and waited to meet our concierge. Around 5:15 someone just came and brought us to our room saying the concierge would meet up with us in the morning. We were told dinner was by reservation only. We tried to call several times, but couldn’t get through. We decided to just walk down since it was only 2 people. We were unable to get a table. They told us to come for 8:30. We had traveled and were hungry. Our room was nice. We paid for an ocean front. The first 2 nights we had someone above our room move furniture or clean till after midnight. 3 rd night was worse. Loud music from venue next door till 4 am. We had our noise machine on as loud as possible and wore earplugs and still we could clearly hear the beat. We were so tired from little sleep we asked to get a different room. We were told no they had nothing available. We knew we needed some rest and sleep so we asked to just get the last 2 nights money back and we would head to a different hotel to get some sleep but again we were told we would get no money back. So we were then offered a different room…. Not impressed. The hotel had beautiful grounds and the breakfast was the best food we had at this resort. Other then that I am sorry to say we will not be returning nor recommending to family and friends.
