Convenient but not great
The hotel is right near the park entrance which is great. Room is nice but other than that poor. The toiletries in the shower are not that nice, we got no room service and the information we got about volcano bay was not helpful. We asked them if we needed to know anything and they said no you’re fine. Turns out for the tickets you need the app which we didn’t have and had to get sent over to the customer service line to get them printed. We also asked what time the park opened and they didn’t even know it. Like come on. The hotel is very convenient but other than that it isn’t worth it

Fab visit - great for Volcano Bay
We stayed one night (family of four - kids aged 16 & 12) to take advantage of the walkway/early access to Volcano Bay. This was the reason for booking but we were very pleased with our experience and would love to return and get the full benefit of the resort facilities. We checked in early, around 7.30am and were pleasantly surprised that we were upgraded to a pool side room in Americana block 5 that also had a view of the Volcano . Even better, our room was ready so we were able to leave our stuff and head off for our day at the water park - which was exceptional! Early entry really helps as we rode Krakatau twice in the first 15 minutes and many of the slides when they were ‘ride now’. We also got great sun beds on the beach. How relaxing to walk back to our room at the end of the day! At the hotel, our 16 year old loved the gym - it’s huge! And we loved the chilled atmosphere, large gift shop, Starbucks and food court. Friendly staff, character visits (we saw Gru and a Madagascar Penguin), comfortable beds and no signs of wear and tear that people have mentioned. We loved the hotel and would happily stay for longer next time as we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pools or other facilities on our flying visit.

Great stay.
I really enjoyed my stay at the this hotel. Room was comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Location of room was perfect. Bus service to the parks was fantastic. Would recommend buying a refillable mug if staying for a week. I used it for coffee, Coca Cola and Icies. The hotel has 2 pools and a lazy river. Really enjoyed sitting at the pool and having some relaxing time. Lots of food options. Has a Starbucks and a universal shop! I hope to stay here again in the future.

I'm sure there is a better place to stay. But the pool is nice.
The condition of both rooms, the lack of communication regarding the park’s early closure, and the outdated menus significantly impacted my experience. YOU PAY WAY TOO MUCH FOR WAY TOO LITTLE. The rooms were in unacceptable condition, including the presence of pests, broken lights, and cleanliness issues. This is certainly not the experience we expected. The pool is nice, but the food is very bad in this hotel. We had to door dash everything. For the amount of money, we spent on 3 days the stay was disappointing.

We love it here!
This is one of our favourite hotels in Orlando! It’s excellent value for money, super clean and a perfect base for Universal! We always stay in the Volcano view rooms as these are located in the newer towers and the rooms are modern and spotless. The food court here has something for everyone and the pools are great fun. We never waited more than a minute for a bus to universal and the ability to walk straight into Volcano Bay can not be beaten. Thanks Cabana Bay, we’ll be back next year!
