It's fine for what it is.
Spent a week here. Plus points, staff, shuttle boat to City Walk, large pool, daily room cleaning. Negative points, pool loungers are the most uncomfortable ever. Rooms have little storage. Grab and go shop is expensive and poor quality. Not sure where they get their coffee, but it is unpleasant. The Hotel Bar is small, not sure it's even a bar, more of a shelf, limited seating. Parking seems very expensive, for a resort hotel. There are no laundry facilities like in other resort hotels. Tips.. There is a Starbucks next door. There is an amazing top floor bar at the hotel next door, like a proper grown ups bar. Use an Uber if there is heavy rain , as the water taxi isn't waterproof. Epic is 20 mins bus ride away. The first bus was full 15 minutes before departure, leaving kids crying on the sidewalk.

Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings on this hotel. We visited with a very large group. Pros-Staff members were all friendly. Great pool area. Shuttle boat to universal was a huge plus. Clean room. Cons- looking a little run down, scuff on walls. 1st floor smells TERRIBLE like pet dander. Dog barking loudly. Our room on the back on the 4th floor had VERY loud street noise.

Best Birthday Ever!
This is my 1st stay at SF but not a Loews Resort (I normally stay at RPR) since I'm an AP holder at USO. This resort was simply amazing! I chose here b/c I've always wanted to stay here and I simply adore the water taxi's and it was my birthday. The front desk ladies Gaby and Ella were great! When Gaby saw that it was my birthday she had a surprise for me in the room when I left for the parks and came back. She made sure I knew everything about the resort (park hours, resort restaurants, etc). Ella was super nice upon my check out and made sure I had transportation to the airport and supplied with bottle water. Even the servers/bartenders at Amista's were great! Jay (bartender) and Victor (server) took really good care of me and the food and drinks were the best. I can't say enough about this resort but I also know I can't wait to do it again next year.

Lovely Pool and Breakfast
Used the pool here a few times. Lovely experience. Shout out to Jerry -pool server. He is such a ‘people person’ so hard working, always there and always checking on us, so professional , friendly and can’t do enough for you. Boats to Universal and Islands of Adventure are brilliant. Amatista breakfast is really nice.

Dreams do come true
This hotel is by fair the best hotel we have ever stayed in, it is absolutely amazing We are still blown away from staying in this wonderful hotel it is just incredible. We had an absolute wonderful time, and the duty of care shown to myself in my own personal hour of need was absolutely incredible. Massive shout out to Chris and Thiago and the lady that checked us in unfortunately didn’t get her name she was really nice trying to get a booking sorted. Hopefully they will be recognised for their excellent guest service. I work in customer service for over 25 years and have been asked numerous of times in my job to train in customer service to new employees and the way the staff represent you’re company, hotel, Universal etc., is the way it should be in every industry dealing with the public guests passengers. We can’t wait to book with you again very soon and hopefully we can book if the price fits our family budget requirements. We booked with a travel agent because of the price. Hotel tips Never walk back at night to the hotel always use the boat taxi because the walk back takes much longer. Food at the pool bar is incredible especially the Nachos The only disappointment was Epic Universe to be honest because of the closure of numerous parts of the ground due to it been a preview, it was unfortunately really disappointing because it was only day pass we had purchased and all was offered was a discount on our next purchase seems a little limited given the price we paid for 3 adults tickets. Totally understand with problems these things happen but the fact we had purchased the Mario watch for interactive games was a total waste because it was closed for a time period and would have loved to go back. Was the same with Donkey Kong, Harry Potter and the Dark Universe that was a massive disappointment.
