    Amazing hotel and staff!

    Amazing and sweet staff and beautiful hotel. Breakfast was delicious and buffet style. Super quiet and convenient close to markets the airport etc. The rooms are clean and beds are so comfy! Playa Azul and old city in uber a few mins. We are happy we chose this hotel to stay at. Excited to come back soon! 🌴🫶

    Wonderful stay!

    This hotel is very convenient to the airport, just a short walk. Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is very clean and the staff was exceptional, helpful and friendly. The spoke both Spanish and English which was helpful. The food was delicious. Safe area with beach, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

    Short stay, cute hotel

    The front desk clerk was very nice and super-accommodating! The only small problem was that he had no American money in the till and wasn’t able to give us change for the taxi. Room was good, but no windows. We weren’t staying long, so it was ok

    Inappropriate Fees - Charging for visitors

    They did not allow my friend to visit me in the hotel without paying a fee. This was my first experience with this fee outside of an all inclusive. Since the hotel did not offer any food, drinks or anything of value, this fee seemed inappropriate and a rip off. I would not return to this hotel.

    Overnight in Cartagena

    My wife and I had to spend the night in Cartagena and catch our connecting flight the next day. We had found the Varanasi online and booked a room. It turned out to be all we could have hoped for. It was within easy walking distance of the airport terminal. The breakfast and lunch were very good, and all the staff were excellent: professional, friendly, courteous, and helpful. Plus, the hotel is only a few blocks from the beach, so we were able to get in a good walk in the morning. The room was nice and very clean. my only slightly negative comment is that the shower did not drain properly, so by the end of your shower, you had some accumulated water you were standing in. But all in all, we had an excellent experience at the Varanasi, at a reasonable price, and we highly recommend it and would gladly stay there again.
