    Amazing place, Amazing people

    Returned from our two week holiday, and thought we would share our experience. Surroundings - great pools, nice temperature and clean. Plenty of beds and towels. The grounds are beautiful, the garden staff do an a amazing job. Its great to see such an abundance of wildlife. Buggy staff - All these lovely people where friendly as said hello as they went passed, would stop and ask if we needed a lift. Renaldo deserves a special mention. He was extra friendly and helpful. Staff Most staff were friendly and approachable, happy to answer questions. Our anniversary meal was amazing and the sraff made it very special. We have to mention so staff individually - Theodore - he is an amazing asset to the hotel, his smile is infectious, He was so gapoy all the time, he also remembered our names, which was definitely a special touch. Ashah, as the host was so friendly, greeting us like friends at mealtimes, and making a point to come and give us a hug when we left made us feel part of the Verandah family. Keisha, our egg lady!! Greeted us every breakfast with a smile and a friendly chat. It was lovely to hear about her family. Kertie, what can I say, she made our holiday. Kertie is amazing, helpful, great service, made our evenings such a great time. Made us laugh, excellent cocktails, never had an empty glass!!!. The reception staff could be more friendly and approachable. Housekeeping - rooms cleaned every day. It would be good to have some beers or soft drinks in the fridge in the room. Food - The food was absolutely fine. Our only critic is that staying for two weeks, the menus are very repetitive. Even one of the buffets was Italian, which seemed very odd as there is an Italian restaurant open most nights!!! We appreciate it is low season, but definitely needs to be addressed, as this was mentioned by many guests. Maybe more buffets open only so food is not wasted. Activities - the crazy golf was fun. Also having shuffleboard and pool, was great to have something to do during the day. We went on several excursions, the best was the Stingray city, this was just unbelievable, and definite must.

    8.5 out of 10 - The Verandah Antigua

    8.5 out of 10. Would recommend. Accommodation very nice, pools and restaurants were very good. Beach "Pink" party on Friday night was fantastic. Not much evening entertainment, beaches are small and ocean water has lots of see grass, not great if you are a beach person. Trolly service was a must to get around on the resort as there are lots of hills to tackle while walking. Overall a very nice tropical resort.

    Wonderful Experience

    I personally want to Jensen over at the Water Sports for the amazing experience. Very accommodating and funny. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be back.

    Disappointed

    Unless you have your own transport it is Augusta fe away from anything. Hotel in September was very quiet, disappointing , I wasn’t advised restaurants would be closed. Restricted dining and lack of selection. Rooms were ok but in need of some tlc Pools were great as very quiet , staff were ok some exceptional others miserable particularly staff who arranged trips ! I felt I was being a nuisance. Morning cruise was cancelled but no one advised if this communication poor! May have been usual staff were having a break !!! Smell of weed around the main pool particularly when a certain entertainment member was around !!! Slightly disappointed , would look elsewhere in future .

    Return as expected

    Our return visit was all we were looking for. There has been renovations, all to the good. From checkin to checkout everything was what we expected. Friendly and warm service from the front desk, shuttle drivers and wait staff. A few names to call out are Dianne at the front desk, Theodore our server at seabreeze, Ashas our hostess several nights and of course Richardson, who made sure every dining experience was top notch. We will visit again
