  Great people, well maintained property

  The people make this property great. Overall a decent stay here, the view from our room in the main building was great, but being on the top floor meant we got a lot of noise from the restaurant, chairs dragging across the floor all night, and then again in the morning. The rooms are a bit strange, no way to turn on just the bathroom lights or go on the balcony without opening all the shades so hopefully everyone in your room is on the same sleep schedule or you don't have to get up at night to use the restroom. Open bathrooms with thin see-thru bathroom doors means very little privacy so hopefully you don't mind that either. Food was good at the restaurants although very expensive compared to other resorts we have visited in Cabo. But again all of the service, hosts, and people around the property were fantastic and provided excellent service. The property was also very well maintained and clean. One other thing that was strange is that our room had a kitchen, but no dishes, silverware, etc.

  Magical time

  It was the first time my wife and I stayed at the Viceroy. It was magical and will definitely be back. Ignacio and GG took care of us by the pool. We couldn’t have had a better time.

  Viceroy Goes Way Beyond

  My wife and I booked this trip more or less spontaneously out of boredom and a need to get out of the rainy Pacific Northwest. We had never been to Baja. We had little idea what we were in for… From the moment we arrived at SDJ airport to our landing back at home, it’s hard to imagine a more memorable stay. The staff at Viceroy catered to our every whim. Drivers were top-notch professional, super courteous and ready to share travel tips and their culture. Front desk staff and bellmen were fun and friendly professionals. Throughout the week, I loved joking around with them in my broken Spanish (although they all spoke English). I used their bikes and explored all over downtown. Really easy and safe. The grounds were gorgeous. Fabulous “form follows function” architectural elements. Immaculate mysterious paths. Gorgeous reflecting pools. Cozy lounging by the swimming pools. Easy access to the beach. Beautiful outdoor lighting at night. At once, the environment at Viceroy felt warm and friendly, yet sophisticated in its minimalist decor. Our room easily served as “home base”. Our housekeeper Isabel was stealthy and thorough. She came through with all the coffee we needed for tranquil mornings on the balcony. Our ocean view was nearly panoramic. From our room, we watched the humpback whales offshore, lounged, read, relaxed, played guitar…it was like a second honeymoon. We dined at Awacate restaurant the first and last night. Damien and Pedro were charming. The mariachi band brought us to old Mexico. Midweek we tried the rooftop restaurant. Outrageous seafood! More live music- romantic jazz arrangements of classic hits. Fun conversation with other couples. We were not alone, as we exchanged similar superlatives regarding their time at Viceroy. Perhaps the most meaningful aspect of the trip came through our relations with the concierge staff. Roberto took care of us at night, while Jennifer attended to us during the day. They both really cared about how our experience was going. Their recommendations were candid and sincere. They both anticipated all our needs. By weeks end, Jennifer had basically become our friend. Her approach is very personal. She would stop by to check in, but it always felt fun and friendly. We just laughed with her about the nutty things in life. She helped us book whale watching and snorkeling adventures. We got to know about her life growing up in Mexico. It was special. We would have left on Sunday somewhat dreading our return to the overcast skies of Seattle in February, were it not for our firm plans to return to Viceroy in May. We’re definitely coming back for more in three months. San Jose is wonderful…Viceroy serves as a really cool portal. We have no regrets.

  Karla and Antonino are wonderful

  Antonino and Karla Daniela were wonderful hosts at the bar. My husband and I had drinks and dinner right at the bar and the conversation and service was outstanding. Looking forward to coming back. Thank you both

  Great Experience

  GG the best there is. Loved everything . I come back every year and it gets better and better every year. Will be back again.
