  Decent hotel but no hot water in our villa.

  Villa del Arco in Cabo San Lucas has been a recurring stay for us, and while we’ve had some great experiences, there have been a few areas that have seen a decline over the years. One of the most noticeable changes is the pool access. Ten years ago, guests could swim at all three pools from the other resorts at Villa del Palmar and Villa del Estancia. Now, you’re limited to Villa Del Arco. This was disappointing, especially since Villa del Palmer recently completed its construction and now boasts infinity pools and beautiful nighttime lighting. Another downside is the pool’s closing time. It closes at 8 PM, which is quite early in my opinion. Ten years ago, the pool stayed open until 10 PM, which was more realistic. One other issue I encountered throughout my week was the lack of hot showers. I know the weather is hot, so I’ve gotten used to lukewarm showers, but mostly on the cooler side. I mentioned this to the staff, and they said they were trying to fix it. However, it was still a disappointment. We discussed the lack of hot water while relaxing in the pool, and other guests chimed in, saying they had the same issue. We all complained about it, but then we reminded ourselves that it’s first-world problems. We’re in paradise here in Cabo, but I still wanted more hot showers. The pool water was warmer than the water in my shower, so I’m not sure if the lack of hot water was related to the hurricane season in the autumn. Be prepared for this possibility if you’re planning a trip during that time. On a positive note, the staff at Villa del Arco was fantastic. They were attentive and friendly, and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Each day I would start our day with a nice little workout in the gym and the women and men that work in the Spa and at the front desk are just as courteous, sweet and helpful as they can be. Also, the people working at the front desk are very nice and courteous. However, the concierge can be a little pushy. Another thing that happened this year that didn’t happen the previous year before is that when you first meet with the concierge, they give you a 10 to 15% gold coupon that you could use at restaurants and at the Palmita market. This year in order to get that same coupon you have to sit in on a two hour timeshare pitch and as an owner of the Villa group for over 30 years, there was no need for us to upgrade and get another timeshare. When we asked why we were unable to get the coupon they couldn’t tell us when they changed their policy and so it was a little uncomfortable to have the conversation, but another thing that fell at the wayside. Due to this, we decided to eat out more and go to the grocery store and cooking in our unit because the prices at the restaurants in the resort are literally astronomical. I understand that inflation has really been high this last year, but the prices were really ridiculous. We did eat three times though at the resorts and paid as much money as if it was a Michelin star restaurant but the food and service was great. Our family,are members and owners at Villa del Arco and if I had to choose and pay a hotel on my own, I would not choose this hotel however, I am very grateful to have been gifted an opportunity to experience Villa del Arco another time.

  Beautiful Resort with wonderful staff

  We LOVE los Arcos from the view, staff amenities and the kind hearts of friends we've made thru the years here like Elizabeth, Gloria, Gilder, Nyeli, Juan Carlos, Rosceli, Silvia, Vicente and we hold high Ms Claudia the bartender on the Buccanera my esposos novia😅 it's always a wonderful birthday celebration each year spending it at my favorite resort with my favorite people. Muchas gracias Los arcos.

  Jesus and Ramone will take good care of you by the pool!!

  We spent several days hanging out at the pool and Jesus and Ramone were both amazing! They were very attentive and got everything we asked for in a timely matter! We never wanted for anything on our pool days! Exceptional service!!
