Our server over at Villa del Palmar, Manuel Lopez, was absolutely wonderful. He was very kind and joyous during the whole stay. He was efficient and always very attentive to my family’s needs. He was a wonderful part of our trip and played a huge role in making it very enjoyable.

Our happy place!
What I love about Villa del Palmar: EVERYTHING! ❤️ From the valet team to the front desk, management, pool staff, and restaurant servers—everyone works together in such beautiful harmony to make sure you have the best experience in Mexico. And my favorite part? The way they put their right hand over their heart every time they speak to us. Such a beautiful gesture of warmth and respect. ❤️ We absolutely love coming here, and we’ll be back real soon! Family friendly day and night!
Villa Del palmar was amazing for our family. Despite the hurricane, they made sure we had activities every day. The kids club was great for our ninos. Staff was extremely friendly and remembered us every day (thanks coral, Francisco and Alberto!). Above all, the pool activities team (who is also the show dancers) were phenomenal. Major shout out to Karla, Jeremy, Vale, Albert, mich, rodo, Alana, and Bryan for entertaining us day and night! 10/10 will be back!

Terribly rude staff.
We were excited to come stay at Villa del Palmar for a few days. We have a good friend who lives in San Jose, whom we were visiting. The resort staff were repeatedly rude to our friend when he arrived at the hotel each day to pick us up. The first time the staff were rude when he entered the lobby. We were excited to show our friend how nice the hotel was, but the staff at the front desk yelled at our friend across the lobby that he was not permitted to enter the hotel. We understand that the hotel most likely has policies to prevent people who are not guests from using hotel facilities, but this was handled in a rude, and condescending fashion. The following day the gate attendees were rude to our friend, and refused to even let him into the gate to pick us up. Finally on the third day our friend decided that it was best to just wait outside the gate to avoid unneccessary confrontation, and that we would walk down to him. EVEN THEN, outside of the gate, we were accosted by hotel security. These men attempted to detain our friend, demanded his ID, and registration papers for his car while repeatedly accusing him of being an Uber driver who was breaking the rules of the resort by picking up their guests. After quite a bit of arguing the security personnel yelled at our friend that even though he wasn't an Uber driver, nor breaking any rules, that he needed to "show some respect." Our friend is a kind, 64 year old Mexican citizen, who deserved NONE of this treatment. We will NEVER stay at any part of the Villa group again after being treated so terribly. Also our room smelled like mildew. Not as big of a deal, but unpleasent.
