Great experience
This was our first time in Cabo and we had the best experience at Villa del Palmar. The hotel is beautiful, location is great, the food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Everybody was so kind and attentive, but we really appreciate the effort that Isabel, Samuel, Vinny, and Carlos put to make our stay comfortable, as well as Laura, Albert, Mauricio, Jeremy, and all the entertainment staff, especially Jackson!!! We can't wait to be back. Thank you all for the great experience. Highly recommend this hotel.

Fun times
Chloe was fun to play the games with. She was very personable and funny. It was a pleasure and I had so much fun. I was rushing down stairs to play the games with her and the crew. Tony was also a joy too. He made us laugh calling him Tony Pepperoni.

BEWARE! Rude high pressure sales!
Beware! We were given a free 4 night 5 day stay. We knew we had to do a presentation as part of the deal. First of all it took many phone calls and emails to get anyone to call me back. When we did, it was not a great experience. She confirmed the day we wanted it and then we were told it would be 399 for the four nights five days on the paperwork we were given. She said no it’s now been changed to 449 and then you have to pay a $10 a day fee to the hotel. Kind of put me off originally because that’s not what the paperwork was that we were given. Then, during the conversation she informed me numerous times she had some questions and that my answers were different when I got to the property than what I was giving her and it was being recorded as we spoke then it was a $500 a night surcharge. What would I be lying about? I’m just trying to make a vacation. She goes through questions if I’m a United States citizen if I speak English or Spanish, we go through her questions and then she gets to my salary. She wants to know exactly how much I make. I asked her why that even matters and she says because if I don’t make a certain amount, I don’t qualify for this vacation. And the paperwork I was given there is nothing in regards to this. I said well what is the minimum that I have to make to be able to qualify for this vacation since I didn’t have any clue any of this was going to take place. She said $50,000 a year I said I make more than $50,000 a year. She said that was not good enough and I had to tell her exactly how much I made or I didn’t qualify for this and I couldn’t go on this vacation. And then she informed me again that the conversation is being recorded, and if my answers are different than what I tell her today then there is a $500 a night surcharge. I end up booking it but after talking to my husband, I sent an email saying we wanted to cancel it because we are not interested in high-pressure sales. That’s not what we were given. For three days I got no response from the company. I went through the original company that gave me the gift certificate and they were very helpful and they tried to help it took another day to get any response and they are saying that it will take me at least two weeks to get my deposit back. I just want you to be completely aware that it was high-pressure sales on the phone and even though I realized we were going to a presentation nothing I’ve been to has been such high pressure and I did feel threatened on the phone.

A few people helped make up for a mixed trip
We love this place (rather our daughter loves this place bc of the pool) and 24/7 room service and house cleaning. It's our 2nd year here. Admittedly, it's gone down a bit. Our first room 2622 was hot and our toddler struggled to sleep at night because it was so hot despite leaving the ocean-view window curtain closed all day, after requesting for them to fix the AC. We lost a day because we had to re-pack and move to 2610, which was much better. Calling front desk and room service was painful.. often busy or no response at all. So, we often had to call anyone just for someone to pick up to transfer us which also 50% ended in a busy signal/automative voice. Still, we had a great time despite all of this. We had a mix of great service and not great service.. which is different then before, when we had great service all around (2 yrs ago). This time, we had great help from the pool staff, specifically Alberto, Oscar, and Carlos. Alberto was really great at getting things like an umbrella for us without us having to ask. Also, he always had a smile, which is nice to depend on when on vacay.
