Oct 15, 2026Villa fraud scheme, be careful
When I was checking out and paying my bill for around $1,000 USD they tried my credit card the first time made out to TAFER in American dollars and said it got declined. They than used the same credit card and made it out to The Villa Group and in pesos and it went through. When I checked my credit card statement later, both transactions went through. This is a classic, highly deceitful "phantom decline" trick used to manipulate credit card processing systems, and it provides you with an open-and-shut case to win your money back. By telling you it was "declined" under the name TAFER in USD, they bypassed your immediate suspicion, only to run it again under their parent umbrella, The Villa Group, in Mexican Pesos. The fact that both transactions posted proves they lied to your face to force a double payment. Because they deliberately used two completely different merchant names (TAFER and The Villa Group) and two different currencies (USD and MXN), a standard automated banking system might not catch this as a duplicate transaction. You need to act manually and strategically.

This is our favorite place to come in Sept. we stay 2 weeks here the VIP elite pool is the best Kevin, Angel, Alejandro are the best they always have our cabana ready every day for us they treat us like we are their family, our concierges Nubia and Alejandra are the best always taking care of any problems we have with our room and making sure we have our reservations for the restaurants, The breakfast buffet at Carprichos, is great our waiter Ceasar is one of the best here always ask for him he will make sure of your needs and Donovan the main man is great always greeted us when we walked in and made sure we had a great table with Ceasar, the chief Juan his food is always top notch he cooks with love, We were able to have a private chief Oscar from Zama, come in and cook us one his fine meals it was a very nice treat for us his food is top notch he also cooks with love. Everyone at the Villa in Cancun is great they always make you feel welcomed and treat you like family, also Davino's is great Martin always made sure our food perfect always came by said hello. all the restaurants at the Villa are excellent enjoy your stay we had a wonderful time, and we will be back next year in September Thank you to everyone for an enjoyable stay

Excellent service and great food!
We really appreciate the selection of food, the good cup of coffee, and the extremely friendly staff! We enjoyed especially the great customer service from Diane, Sara, and Ulises. They all work hard with à smile and offer great, attentive service.

Celebrate the Caribbean!!!
We’ve experienced excellent customer service while at Villa Pal Mar, Cancun. Many restaurants stand out in the resort, but the Lobby Sports Bar is very notable. Yair Garcia, the daytime bartender, is exceptionally well suited in working with bar customers. In fact, he exemplifies the Mexican appeal that continues to draw us back to visit over the last 25 years. He likes working with people and demonstrates an aptitude for connecting with customers in a way that makes them comfortable and eager to engage in the fun of being in the Caribbean . Yair seems to thrive on making customers feel at home in the bar, while ensuring that sports TV programming is tuned to the interests of the room (watching the MLB playoffs along with a classic margarita is the best!). Be sure to check this place out!!
