On our second visit (planning a third!), we found the grounds and pools beautifully kept, confirming that the resort’s reputation for being spotlessly clean is well-deserved. Everything about this resort is top notch. Since we retired 2 years ago we try to take 5 trips a year. We don’t usually return for repeat visits so we can see different areas of the world. This resort is the exception. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all highlights for us. Each morning we looked forward to the buffet, where our cheerful servers Gilbert, Luis, Laura, Pepe and Ernesto greeted us with smiles and very attentive For poolside lunches, Alex (and the entire pool and beach servers) went above and beyond – they were quick to bring us snacks and drinks even outside their section, always with a smile. That team of employees work well together. We fell in love with Tomatillos and La Trattoria (Italian). The food at both was excellent, and the service truly stood out. At Tomatillos, our waiter Luis and his team was top notch with the best prepared food. It was a 5 star restaurant. Again, the employees work great together. We had 7 dinners there and not a single complaint. At La Trattoria, Raull (with helpers Andrés and Luz) were amazing. The food and service was unbelievable. We enjoyed these two restaurants so much that we skipped the others entirely! Also, Lizbeth was the best hostess. She always greets you with a smile and remembers your name and room number. Housekeeping kept our 1 bedroom unit immaculate – it was always perfectly tidy by lunchtime – and we even enjoyed nightly turndown service with cookies and mints. The front desk even called us several times to ask if everything was good and if we needed anything. We appreciated little touches everywhere. What really makes Villa del Palmar Flamingos stand out is the staff. Every employee we met – from breakfast servers to bellmen to bartenders – was friendly, professional and attentive. Can’t wait til our next visit.

Edgar and Fernando had amazing service the whole trip! Great bartending and food service. Great breakfast and dinner. Would definitely recommend coming here

A Wonderful Experience
From the moment we arrived to the resort our vacation was off to a wonderful start. Juan set us up for a presentation and was very professional and kind. Mariena was the person who presented us with our presentation which was very informative. She has a great personality. Edgar provided the best pool side activities which we participated in daily. He is very involved in making sure everyone is included and explains the different games to make playing fun. He has a great sense of humor and a great smile. Jose gave us a great presentation on making mahi-mahi ceviche which was amazing we were provided chips sauces and a lime drink. Eric was our mixology teacher and we enjoyed making passionfruit margaritas and he showed us how to make piña colada’s, which were very tasty. Iris went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday special when we attended the tequila tasting. Not only did Hugo give us a great class in tequila and how it’s made to Iris providing my husband a slice of Birthday cake that we shared with our table. Teresita was excited to make sure everyone was included in Bingo and attended the Michael Jackson Show which was great.

Paradise
I consider Flamingos my second home. Good location right on the beach and a short walk to a town full of good food and small shops for those must have trinkets. Very attentive and friendly staff and a truly fun and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are very spacious and accommodating with a nice ocean view. Excellent spa services and plenty of activities and access to excursions.

Another amazing trip to Flamingo
I stayed at the Villa Del Palmar flamingo for two weeks. The first five I was there by myself and then I had a friend join me for the last nine. What an amazing trip. I have been to the Flamingo many times and for many years. Many people on the staff have remained the same. Everyone is friendly, outgoing, and always smiling. “Welcome home” is what they say when you arrive and they truly make it feel like you are home. There are so many things to do while you are there. I was there mainly to relax. I didn’t do any excursions and only left the resort twice to run to Walmart for supplies. Regee, the pool manager has been amazing for years. He helps with umbrellas, set my chairs up every day perfectly and would raise and lower the umbrella at the times that I liked. Augustine and Oscar waited on us poolside and were amazing. We rarely ran out of buckets of ice, water, soda or drinks and they always let us know when it was time for happy hour. Ernesto has helped me for years with the water activities. Getting the paddle boards and kayaks ready, assisting with entering the ocean and when coming out. He stands at the side of the beach and motions when to paddle and when to stop so that you catch the waves properly for a safe exit. Edgar, Briana, Gaby and Tere were part of the entertainment staff and were excellent. They would walk around the pool with their friendly smiles, recruiting people to play beach volleyball, water volleyball, crafts, stretching, blackjack, and many other activities. We did all inclusive for a few of the days. The food was good, the service was amazing as always. We had a two bedroom three bathroom room. Which includes a full kitchen and living area. It’s a combination of a one bedroom suite and studio. Which was nice because my friend could enjoy her privacy and we shared the center area. There was daily housekeeping and nightly turn down service if you wanted it. Housekeeping was always friendly and smiling. It was another amazing trip to the Flamingo, and I can’t wait to return
