  Such a nice place!

  Amazing place! We booked a 2 bd/3 ba from Costco and a rental car was included. The condo was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We booked the garden view room, one bedroom faced the parking lot and the other had a view of the ocean, which was a nice surprise. There was a 10 cup coffee maker with two packs of coffee. They also left a gift since we were celebrating a milestone. Parking was free and plenty of it. Across the street was a Safeway and ABC Store. We drove around the island and bought fruits a long the way, it was nice having a full kitchen to cut the fruits. It felt like home for a week. We enjoyed the pool and the morning sunrises. We did not go to the restaurant, they had odd hours and when you step into the restaurant a rude lady would tell you it's closed. That was the only negative of the trip. Front desk lady was super sweet and all staff we ran into (except for the lady at the restaurant) was friendly and nice. Would definitely stay there again.

  We didn’t get what we paid for

  Waipouli Beach Resort is lovely. The condo we stayed in for five nights was nicely furnished, spacious, clean and comfortable. I rated it as average because we paid for a garden view unit and instead got a condo with a view of the parking lot. Our attempts to address this with the front desk and management were met with the claim that they classified our unit as garden view, that all outward facing condos are described as that. On the resorts website, the condo we were given was pictured and described as a town view. We pointed out the discrepancy but were told we were in a garden view unit. So just beware when booking at this resort, that you may not get the accommodation you expected and paid for.

  Not a resort. The experience was similar to staying at an Airbnb. No room service, no housekeeping (unless you pay an additional fee with each request) on top of the hundreds they charge upon arrival for cleaning services ($412). Only one mid restaurant that is closed on Sundays and Mondays. No bar on property, except when the one restaurant bar is open from 3pm to 4pm on days the restaurant is open. The front desk is only open 9 AM to 7 PM, so if you have an issue during that time you’re on your own. When we checked in, we didn’t find out that our air conditioning wouldn’t turn on until after 7pm and the front office staff had already left. The AC is on a child lock system, and one of our doors was off its runner so it would not allow the AC to turn on. Our room got up to 88° and we just had to wait it out till the next day when maintenance was back working after 9AM. Beautiful property, should not be allowed to have resort in its name.

  Absolutely Worth It!

  We booked unit F304 via Capitol One credit card. It was impeccably clean, fully stocked (even had an air fryer!). The 2 bedroom was very spacious and was a perfect fit for our family. We didn’t hear a lot of hotel noise at night which was nice. FYI, for this unit you will need to purchase basic food items like salt/pepper/olive oil, etc. The room had boogie boards, beach chairs, sand toys and snorkel gear- such a wonderful bonus! Every single staff member on site was very friendly and kind. We had a view of the pool area and every morning staff was cleaning the pool, testing the water and they even changed out the family hot tub water during our stay. Additionally, every morning a diligent employee would deep clean the grills that are open for general use. All of this is to say, this resort is top tier with cleanliness and professionalism. The restaurant was wonderful too. There is a Safeway across the street but I would not plan on doing your major shopping there, it’s the most expensive of grocery stores nearby. I strongly suggest planning time for a Walmart grocery trip (there’s one in Lihue) and getting your food items there or doing a Target pick up order when you arrive on the island. There is also a Costco with great prices on alcohol, etc. 3 years ago we stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu and aside from the access to their complimentary snacks throughout the day, Waipouli Resort is truly just as great for a lower price. We will 100% be returning!
