Large Resort with a Cozy Feel
Stayed in the Tower 1 Club section which is adults only. Highly recommended for a quieter location that’s still close to everything. Club house has snacks and bar available throughout the day for Club guests and delicious Happy Hour appetizers. Excellent pool service with a poolside grill at lunch with burgers, sausage, chicken or seafood options (had BBQd lobster poolside twice). For excursions definitely see Erik Garcia at the beach (wears a Google shirt). Did two private excursions with English speaking drivers at much more reasonable price. Also check out the Green Team for a fantastic beach massage. Multiple dining options available for an all inclusive so you never have to order from the same menu twice. Only disappointing meal was at Bamboo (Asian themed) which seemed to be the most popular (always a line to get in). Vegetable Tempura which is normally a light battered variety of vegetables was basically deep fried peppers. There were several groups during our 10 day stay which is expected for a hotel this size. However be advised that groups sometimes shut down restaurants normally open in order to accommodate groups. My husband had planned to have a romantic sunset dinner for our 20th Anniversary at the Tapas Restaurant in the main lobby only to discover it was totally reserved for a group that evening. Every employee we encountered whether with room service, pool, restaurants, activity center etc., were always friendly and helpful making it a very enjoyable vacation. Saw howler monkeys and lots of Iguanas but you need to travel 2-3 hours to the rainforest to see much more like sloths, white faces monkeys or tropical birds.

Amazing vacation
The resort is beautiful. We watched monkeys, butterflies and iguanas from our balcony. Brian the bartender at the lobby bar makes craft cocktails that are delicious. Burgos made sure we had everything we needed in our room. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Housekeeping is exceptional and cleans and stocks the room frequently during the day. We booked a hike to waterfalls through Erik G with a google shirt(Google him) who works on the beach. He was very accommodating allowing us to add and delete people. The trip to the waterfalls is a must do. Crystal blue waterfalls and amazing knowledgeable guides. Try to get Andrew.

Great beach!
We came here for our honeymoon in 2015. Decided to come back to the same resort for our 10 yr anniversary because we loved the beach so much. Hotel staff is very nice. The rooms are kept clean. Good restaurants. Some fun entertainment options. We especially enjoyed the 80s ballet and the Michael Jackson tribute. Charlie, Samuel and Phillipe put on an entertaining ceviche making class. The best part of staying at the Westin is taking a spear fishing trip with Captain Galo. We booked through Erik Garcia on the beach. Erik hooked us up with Galo 10 years ago. Needless to say, we were thrilled to find out that they were both still there. We got lobster and red snapper and walked 10 mins to Brasalito and had it prepared for us at La Marimba right next to Galo’s house. We definitely recommend the Westin!

Beautiful resort
Such a friendly staff, super clean rooms, lots of great restaurant options and beautiful grounds throughout the resort. At first we were unhappy to hear that we’d have an 8-10 minute walk from our room to the main pool and restaurant area of the resort, but there are golf carts riding around constantly ready to pick up any guests to take you where you need to go. And by day 2 we started looking forward to slow walks under the trees looking for iguanas, monkeys and all the other local wildlife. The beach was beautiful as well. That’s where we found Erik in the blue google shirt to book excursions with. His prices were great and well worth the two excursions we booked through him. Highly recommend looking for him on the beach. Overall a lovely 5 days!

Incredible Resort and Vacation!
My 3 teens and I stayed at the Westin for a week April 24-May 1 and it truly has been an amazing vacation. The room we stayed in worked for all 4 of us well. Anything we needed, we just asked, and the hotel staff made it happen right away. They suggested an extra bed in addition to the pullout so that no one had to share which was very appreciated! The room design was one of the best I've seen. We never felt crowded. We were very happy to be in a building so close to restaurants and the pool but walked easily to the lobby every day just to enjoy the scenery. Housekeeping, room service (for the early morning excursion), bartenders and everyone working at the resort were friendly and fantastic. The food and restaurants were all great for us. Lots of choices and no long lines for the restaurants (I think we waited 10 mins at the longest wait). Bamboo, Manglar and Spirula were our favourites for dinner and the Mitra had everything you could want for breakfast! Lunch from Spirula or El Ranchito was quick and easy to grab and Mitra was also convenient for a more robust lunch (and ice cream). We also went to the gym most mornings and it had a good amount of equipment to make our workouts. The resort has lots of options for doing things at the resort or off. We had talked to Erik G (blue Google shirt) in advance of coming here and he coordinated a fantastic day of going to La Leona Waterfall where we hiked, tubed and had lunch at a local restaurant. Everything went so smoothly and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We also went surfing with Mojo Surfing and that was such a great experience as well. The instructors were fun, knowledgeable and taught us well! Highly recommend trying this! We liked to go to the beach and pool every day. There are a number of vendors at the beach but they don't bother you if you don't want them to. The pool is absolutely stunning. The landscaping and animals around the resort were incredible. Every walk around the resort had us discovering new plants and animals. We will definitely be back! Pura Vida!
