Nov 02, 2026Almost my first 5 Star Review!!!
Travelled to the Reef Oct 17-31. Arrived a bit early as the flight was quick. I got there at about 11 am and said that the A.I doesn't start till 2 PM... Come on guys... Just have it start when you arrive. They said where my room was and kinda just let me go without really showing me the way. They said go though the parking lot and it's the one building. I was basically on the street at the end of the resort and realized that I had no idea of where I was going. I finally asked the one worker where it was and i found my room. The Room- Ground level floor. Loved it. did some work every morning on the balcony. Made some chicken friends...lol. A/C worked amazing. T.V worked. The shower did drain slowly and was pooling as i showered which was fine. First time in all my travels that you could actually drink from the tap. The BED WAS AMAZING!! Better than at home!! Room 5/5. The beach- Only downfall!!! Terrible... Lots of seaweed and did smell for a couple of days. I get it that it's not the resorts fault. Lots of errosion which was crazy. Beach 1/5. Pools- Pools were clean and nice and warm. The hot tub at the main pool wasn't that great but the other one was amazing.. Especially after dinner. Slept like a baby!! From the pics i looked at the pools looked bigger but was perfectly fine! Pools/Hottub 4.5/5. Restaurant/Bar- The drinks were amazing, the food was probably the best i've had in all my travels. We did do the A.I package which was worth it bigtime. Pretty pricey if your paying for everything. 4.5/5. People- WOW WOW WOW!!! People at this resort are UNREAL!!!! The most friendly people i have ever met!!! Just AMAZING!!! I would return def because of them!!! Overall Room 4.5/5. Beach 1/5 (it's not your fault i get it) Restaurant 4.5/5. Bar 4.5/5 People 6/5 (Yes that's a 6 out of 5. They were that good)!!! I would return to this resort in the future forsure but would like to also see more of the island Overall 4.5 / 5 (The best score i have given in my travels). Thanks guys for an amazing time!!! Nick

Great food and service; Beach could have been cleaner
Just returned from the Reef Beach Resort with my husband and 17-month old where we celebrated our wedding anniversary. We stayed 11days and 10 nights and paid for the all-inclusive option. Let’s get into it: The Great: Food was great - very well seasoned. We did however stay during a “low occupancy” timeframe so they never had the buffet and we never ate any authentic island cuisine: no cornmeal porridge, no ackee and salt fish, no bakes, etc.). But, they do have a good menu selection (personally, I enjoyed the jerk chicken quesadillas, red snapper escoveitch bites, chicken caesar salad, all of the drinks - non-alcoholic and alcoholic, etc.). Shout out to the best servers, Gabriela and Mariela! They were intuitive and responsive to all our needs which was really helpful with the baby. Another great thing was the beachfront condo style resort! I loved having a full kitchen with a fridge, sink, microwave, dishwasher, cutlery, glasses, plates, etc. The Not so Great: The resort is about 40 minutes away from the airport on the quieter end of the Cayman Islands. We were far from town and restaurants. But, by far, the most disappointing thing was the fact that they had no changing tables in the restrooms. When my son had a blowout or needed to be changed, we had to walk 7 minutes back to the room to change him and 7 minutes to return to the restaurant to cold food. Or, if we couldn’t make it to the room in time, we had to change him in his car seat. There were also at least 5 occasions where we had to roll the stroller down 3 flights of stairs because the elevator wasn’t working (although, I suspect maintenance was locking the elevators during the day to complete their work). We came after a storm so the beach was yucky with seaweed and brown water but the pools were good. I also think they could have hyped up the activities more so that it could have been more interactive with the guests. All in all, we had a good time and would return.

Oct 19, 2026Great Vacation at the Wyndham Reef Resort
We had a wonderful one-week stay at The Reef Resort. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and a special thank you to Jackie, the concierge, for her outstanding Pool Bar is open all day. The Tides Restaurant is openfor breakfast and in the evening. Daves next door at the Morritts is good, had delicious lobster there, as well as Tuka's up the road. The resort is on the quiet side of Grand Cayman, which we loved. We recommend renting a car to explore the island and nearby restaurants. A relaxing, beautiful getaway, and we would happily return!

Perfect if you need rest and relaxation without bother!
I absolutely love staying here on a solo trip. Loved it so much I will be returning next year. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the slow pace. I was able to rest and relax without being bothered. My room is perfect. The staff are ALL AMAZING! The Spa is fabulous. Keep in mind...this is the east end and there is no "action". The room had a working fridge and microwave with coffee pot.....A PLUS! BUT, I was told I would have to purchase more coffee for my room. I went across the street and bought it. The shower has plenty of water pressure and hot water and I was most pleased to see the resort using Beekman1802 products. Products that is suitable for any person. Bed was comfy and the view was incredible. I loved my patio. Plenty of channels to watch on the TV. The food was great. My favorite was the breakfast because I love eggs benedict. The Subway location is perfect making this an ideal meal option for all inclusive. I just absolutely loved everything! And I always felt safe!!!
