    Still my favorite hideaway after all these year

    I left a review here back in 2011 and after coming back recently I just had to write an update. It is amazing to see how the hotel has matured so well over time without losing a bit of its original charm. The location is honestly unbeatable and what makes it so special; it still feels like a total secret sanctuary where you can truly disconnect from everything. The food now is just wow, incredible quality, but the vibe stays super relaxed and private. Knowing they recently earned Michelin Keys makes total sense once you are there. Always a treat to come back. Hands down my favorite spot on the Mexican Pacific coast. 15 años después, sigue siendo mi lugar favorito Dejé una reseña aquí por ahí de 2011 y después de volver a quedarme hace poco tenía que actualizarla. Es increíble ver cómo el hotel ha madurado tan bien con el tiempo sin perder un solo punto de su encanto original. Su ubicación es neto lo que lo hace tan especial; sigue sintiéndose como un santuario privado donde la desconexión sigue siendo lo mejor de la experiencia. La comida ahora está wow, impresionante, pero manteniendo esa vibra relajada y sin pretensiones. Que les hayan dado las Llaves Michelin tiene todo el sentido del mundo cuando estás ahí. Siempre es un gustazo regresar. Por mucho mi lugar favorito en la costa.

    An unforgettable stay!

    We stayed at Hotel ZOA for a family vacation, and it was such a memorable experience. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the infinity pool is the perfect place to unwind, and every meal we had was fresh and delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay, and we left feeling completely relaxed. We can’t wait to visit again!

    Our family had such an amazing stay at Hotel ZOA! The views are absolutely stunning, the food was delicious, and the staff made us feel welcome from start to finish. It was the perfect place to relax together, and we can’t wait to come back.

    ZOA is one of the best experiences at the Pacific Ocean. Beauty, calm and one of the most beautiful views. Making you feel at home is their great virtue. Unforgettable place! It is a must.

    Real Mixed Bag

    I usually only leave good reviews, as my wife and I are very easy to please and we normally do extensive research prior to booking a trip. We decided to book five nights at Zoa after doing some research on Mazunte and the Hotel. Pros: Great location within the city and surrounding area. Fantastic views and sounds of the ocean. Grounds are beautiful Restaurant and Food are excellent Cons: Beverage Service at pool basically non-existent. We had to seek out the server if we wanted water or cocktails Had a live scorpion the size of my hand in our room the night we arrived. I killed it, but then had to have someone come clean it up. Room was extremely hot when we arrived at 8:30 at night. No attempt to take temperature down or make it comfortable for us. In room coffee machine is really hard to figure out. We really never did..... Would be really nice to have a nightly happy hour or something to add to the stay. Only seven rooms here and everyone just keeps to themselves. Our last morning, we woke up to NO WORKING WATER! Could not flush toilets or take a shower prior to a nine-hour travel day. Many signs in the room of what NOT to do. Use to much water, keep AC down, use towels multiple days, etc. Kind of reminded me of being in grade school.... I left my issues in a survey to the resort but never received a response. That tells me that they really do not care. A simple apology would have gone a long way, and I probably would not have bothered with this review. Oh well. Decide for yourselves if you want to take the chance!
