  Beautiful property.

  We had a fantastic stay. This hotel is beautiful! The property is sooo lovely and romantic. We had the most amazing stay wished we didn’t have to leave. Outstanding service at breakfast and by the pool. 0 complaints.

  A very Spanish experience

  We loved our stay and will return. The hotel is isolated but with a hire car this isn't a problem. It's nice for the peace. I was worried about the type of hotel with my young children but they were very welcome. The food was nice and the staff find. Nancy was amazing and a true hostess rather that just a server. She really elevated the dining experience.

  Beautiful property completely let down by chaotic service and defensive management

  This is a stunning hotel with a fantastic spa and high-quality food. However, the premium "Endless Privileges" package was far from endless, and the service throughout our stay was incredibly poor, not in keeping with its 5 star rating. I completely agree with the other reviewers who noted similar poor experiences. Our stay started with a chaotic check-in where we were left waiting while guests who arrived after us were served first. We were then told our package perks didn't start until 3:00 PM, forcing us to pay extra for lunch on arrival—even though we would be missing lunch on our departure day. Unfortunately, it was incredibly difficult to actually enjoy the package benefits. Food and drink orders consistently went missing. When chased, staff acknowledged the issue but never followed up. On our final day, a simple Spaghetti Bolognese arrived two hours after ordering. For a luxury resort, the dining service was a constant battle; we even had to argue to get basic ice cream for the kids after 5:00 PM. Furthermore, we were never informed by staff about the complimentary perks included in our rate, such as the free massage or the laundry service and our minibar was not consistently replenished. We raised these issues continuously from day one to give management a chance to rectify them, but not a single meal went smoothly. The hotel appears severely understaffed, with one central kitchen struggling to service multiple restaurants and room service. Meal times became a source of anxiety rather than relaxation, which is incredibly stressful when travelling with young children. To make matters worse, a member of our party emailed detailed feedback afterwards, as specifically requested by the hotel. Rather than taking accountability, the hotel’s response was dismissive and defensive, leaving us wondering why they bother asking for guest feedback at all.

  Beautiful property, shocking experience

  As a senior TripAdvisor contributor, I don’t write negative reviews lightly. Unfortunately, our experience at Zoëtry Mallorca was exceptionally disappointing. The property itself is beautiful and has enormous potential, but the reality fell a long way short of the five-star luxury experience promised by Zoëtry and Hyatt. We encountered a catalogue of problems during our stay, and what was particularly disappointing was the way our concerns were handled. For a hotel marketed around personalised service, attention to detail and “Endless Privileges”, the lack of basic care and consistency was extraordinary. We chose Zoëtry because we expected something genuinely special. Instead, we left feeling that the beautiful setting and impressive marketing were doing considerably more work than the actual guest experience. Beautiful place, but absolutely not the five-star experience we were promised.

  A Beautiful Michelin Experience — But Not an €800 One

  We hadn't actually planned to dine at Andreu Genestra that evening. We were simply passing Zoëtry Mallorca while looking for a good place to watch the solar eclipse, stopped by almost by chance, and eventually decided to stay for the Michelin-starred dinner combined with the eclipse experience. There were certainly some very memorable parts. We met Andreu Genestra personally before dinner. He was warm, welcoming and took the time to explain the experience to us, reassuring us that he would reserve a table. We met him again at the end of the evening, which was also a very nice touch. The setting itself is beautiful. Zoëtry Mallorca is impressive, elegant and extremely atmospheric while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The dinner presentation was creative and visually striking, and many of the dishes were genuinely interesting and enjoyable. The sommelier deserves a special mention. He was friendly, attentive, smiling throughout the evening and even entertained guests by singing opera. The house white wine was particularly good and definitely worth trying; the red was also very pleasant. The head waiter was equally helpful and attentive, including kindly arranging ice cream for our young daughter when she specifically asked for it. Unfortunately, however, there were several points where the experience did not match what we would expect from a restaurant at this level — particularly considering that our final bill was around €800. The final savoury course, pork, was probably the weakest dish of the evening. It felt disconnected from the rest of the menu and, in our opinion, simply did not belong there. After the lighter and more refined progression of the preceding courses, continuing further within the seafood concept would have made much more sense. Instead, the pork felt heavy and strangely out of place. Our daughter ordered rice with fish, which was actually exceptional. However, she was served approximately half of what appeared to be the full portion, while the rest simply disappeared without anyone asking whether we wanted it brought to the table or packed. It is a small detail perhaps, but at this level, details matter. The biggest weakness was communication and service consistency. While we were waiting around reception for the eclipse, one member of staff asked us to leave. Shortly afterwards, another member of staff stopped us in the middle of reception, questioned whether we belonged to a private dinner and initially refused us access to the balcony. The situation was only resolved after Chef Andreu Genestra personally confirmed that we were his restaurant guests. One misunderstanding is understandable. Two separate incidents within such a short period suggest that the communication between departments simply wasn't working properly. When guests are spending €800 on an evening, they should not have to repeatedly explain why they are there. The contrast between the senior staff and some of the younger waiting team was also noticeable. The sommelier and head waiter were polished, attentive and professional, while several of the younger waiters appeared insufficiently trained for Michelin-level service. There were a number of small serving mistakes and moments where attention was lacking. This was particularly noticeable because the restaurant was hardly overwhelmed — there appeared to be no more than around ten tables dining that evening. The garden cocktail and eclipse-watching part of the experience also felt surprisingly underprepared. There were essentially no chairs or tables available for guests to sit down or even comfortably place their glasses and used plates. Considering that the eclipse was being incorporated into the evening's experience, this part could have been organised much more thoughtfully. Another point worth mentioning is that, unlike what we had seen described in some other guest reviews, we were not shown the kitchen at any stage of the evening. We did meet Chef Andreu personally, which we appreciated, but there was no kitchen visit or behind-the-scenes element to our experience. Given that this seems to have been part of the experience for some other diners, its absence was noticeable. Dessert was another mixed point. The ice cream course was overwhelmingly sweet, which felt inconsistent with the otherwise natural, balanced philosophy of the menu. Overall, we enjoyed the evening. The location is beautiful, the concept is interesting, several dishes were excellent, the wines were very good, and Chef Andreu Genestra himself made a very positive impression. But enjoyment and value are not quite the same thing. At around €800, a Michelin dinner should feel exceptionally polished from beginning to end. At this price point you are not paying only for creative food — you are paying for precision, service, coordination, atmosphere and attention to every detail. We have experienced other Michelin-starred dinners, so we know how seamless this level of hospitality can be. For us, this was a good and at times very enjoyable dinner, but not an €800 experience.
