Bring the whole crew to St. Thomas.
St. Thomas is home to the area’s international airport and lots of direct flight options. And who really appreciates direct flights? Well, everyone, but especially: Families. Coincidentally, families are also big fans of St. Thomas. The island is lively, with a long list of ways to wear everyone out. Blackbeard’s Castle is a good place to start. In one tour you can see the real pirate tower and National Historic Site and also check out the Grand Historic Homes of St. Thomas. (Who says vacations can’t be educational?)
Pack bright colored clothing if you want to visit the local Butterfly Garden, and you’ll have better luck attracting the winged beauties. To see more brightly-colored creatures, schedule a snorkeling or scuba diving excursion.
The wildlife is wonderful, but the natural sights aren’t too shabby, either. Stop by the Port of St. Thomas for some breathtaking photo opportunities or take the Skyride to Paradise Point - you’ll ride a gondola up the mountain where you’ll find a restaurant, shopping, and unbeatable views.
