Horrible Gest Expeirence
HORRIBLE - they treated us horrible when the AC stopped working in our room. Basically, put us in a temporary room and then told us “We had to get out because someone else was checking in"? Then we did not have a room at all for half a day. UNBELIEVABLE. Then they told us they would have a solution at 10:00am, then 3:30, then 4:00, then 4:30. You really find out what organization is about when there is a little problem. They did not mind inconveniencing my family for their convenience! Way below the Hilton standards. Very disappointing. There is no way that I could recommend this hotel to anyone. Not even my x-wife.

Run down property
Do NOT spend your money to come here. This property is in rough shape. We had major issues with nearly everything. We are Hilton Diamond members and were expecting a Hilton experience. This is not a Hilton experience. Facilities, service and food all need a turnaround effort. Things are broken- think holes in ceiling, mold, pool surface coming off in chunks, light fixtures falling apart, light bulbs out etc. We reached out via social media soon after we arrived with no response. Emailed Hilton feedback directly with no response. It’s one thing to have a bad experience but the lack of response shows surprising apathy on Hilton’s part.

Nothing to rave about
The staff is not friendly at all. They are very rude and short with their responses. Makes you not want to ask any questions to avoid the rudeness. The restaurant reservations are hard to get but the buffet food is really incredible. Large variety and very tasty. The only negative part is there are a lot of pigeons and birds flying around constantly. It was a constant worry that a bird would just jump on my plate. The rooms were decent and clean enough. Two king beds with supplied can drinks, water and beer.

Just OK Overall Needs Better Dining and Amenities
Overall, the resort was just satisfactory...with plenty of room for improvement. I hope management reviews the recent guest feedback, which accurately reflects my experience. Check-In • Smooth and fast, especially since we arrived after 4 pm. Housekeeping & Room • Rooms were clean and modern, and staff were friendly and responsive. • Unfortunately, my view overlooked the hotel roof and part of the waterpark...likely the least desirable. Restaurants & Dining • Dining options were average. The reservation system is inconvenient: you must reserve between 10 am and 4 pm for dinner the following night; not the same day. If you arrive after 4 pm, you’re stuck with buffet meals for the first two days. • The buffet was generic and repetitive, with no themed nights like you might find at other resorts. Amenities • Only a single large pool with a swim-up bar. In September, it wasn’t crowded....though I can’t imagine its condition during peak summer. • The fitness center is small and shared with RIF guests. • Massages were scheduled to happen on the beach, but due to construction, they were relocated to the RIF Fort facility. Entertainment • Very limited nightlife or daily activities....possibly because we visited during the off-season. Staff Interaction • Contrary to some reviews, our experience was positive: staff were courteous and helpful. Recommendations: 1. Allow Corendon guests access to RIF amenities. Currently, it feels unfair and one-sided for RIF guests to enjoy both properties while Corendon guests cannot. 2. Fix the restrictive restaurant reservation policy. Consider allowing same-day bookings. 3. Provide more dining options during gaps when the main restaurant is closed...currently, only café pastries are available for nearly two hours, which isn’t ideal.

Best beach day!
We visited Mangrove Beach Corendon, as an excursion, with our cruise ship, Carnival Freedom. We were there for the day. We had previously visited on past cruises, so we knew this was going to be a fun beach day! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We chose the beach. The pool is beautiful and has a swim up bar. We found our spot, with umbrella and lounge chairs. It was all inclusive for us. The drinks and food were excellent. They have a buffet or a beach bar grill to choose from (or do both). The employees are kind and helpful. Georgiane and Raigen were top notch! They gave us information and directions without hesitation! As previously noted, this was not our first visit and certainly will not be our last!
