Aruba

Sun-kissed beaches. Sweet surprises. Warm welcomes. Consider this Caribbean gem your care-free, laid-back happy place.

Aruba

Find adventure in an ideal climate.

Aruba packs in more vacation value per square mile than any other island. Whether you’re into off-roading, windsurfing, or shipwreck diving, this place is a must for your bucket list. Plus, the low humidity and comfortable year-round 82-degree weather means you can enjoy it all without wishing for a jacket or craving constant air conditioning.

Aruba weddings

The aisle is pristine white sand. The backdrop is the sparkling Caribbean Sea. The occasion is the happiest day of your life. Even though your wedding is in Aruba, the true destination is bliss. And on this happy island, it’s easy to find with 24 picture-perfect beaches and 52 weeks of warm sunshine per year. Besides saying “I do” to the love your life, here’s the next best thing: You get to wake up to the honeymoon of your dreams. Let the magic soak in as you kick back and relax on the beach, pamper yourself at a world-class spa (because you deserve it), or take your first adventure together and snorkel in the vibrant sea.

Travel Tip

The only requirement for a legal marriage on the island is a simple civil ceremony at Aruba’s town hall.

Cuisine and culture

Have you ever noticed that the best things in life are usually a combination of a few really great things? Mint-chocolate chip, parasailing, PB&J — You get the picture. The culture and cuisine you’ll find in Aruba are no exception. A mix of Dutch, South American and Caribbean influences add a unique flavor to Aruba’s food, architecture, arts and more

On (and under) the water

The true beauty of the sea is usually found below the water line. And with coral reefs, shipwrecks and gentle trade winds, Aruba has some the Caribbean’s best snorkeling and scuba diving. Our favorite way to see it all? The Palm Pleasure Snorkel Adventure. Board a catamaran with a crew sailing you to the deep blue (enjoy a cocktail and some sun on the way). When you’re ready, grab your snorkel and fins and dive in. You’ll explore the Antilla shipwreck (the largest in the Caribbean), the fish-friendly Boca Catalina and the unique Arashi Reef. All that swimming will definitely work up your appetite, which is a good thing because you’ll want to fully indulge in the traditional lunch prepared by top island chefs of Le Dome Restaurant and grab a tropical drink from the catamaran’s open bar.

Travel Tip

The Antilla shipwreck is home to corals, tube sponges, lobsters, sea turtles and many species of fish.

A unique terrain

This little island packs in one heck of a landscape. You can get a great taste of it in Arikok National Park, the largest nature preserve in the Caribbean. Or get down in the desert with adventure sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing and off-roading. For something totally different, head to the crystal waters of the Natural pool where you can swim, snorkel, and feel refreshed. The catch? There’s only one way to get there: a Jeep safari. En route to the pool, your trusty Jeep will take you by historic sites like the California Lighthouse and the Natural Bridge, twisting through the bumpy countryside, past volcano peaks and wildlife.

Travel Tip

Make time to relax on Eagle Beach, one of TripAdvisor’s 10 best beaches in the world.

Love and family

Aruba is a top wedding and honeymoon destination. If your guest list doesn’t include little ones, you’ll want to book the Riu Palace Antilles, the island’s sole adults-only all-inclusive resort. But this little slice of Heaven is also a prime destination for the whole family, thanks to calm waters, welcoming locals and kid-focused activities throughout the island.

Travel Tip

Aruba's weather averages between 80 and 84 degrees year round. The island sits outside the hurricane belt and gets very little rainfall, so this is the place to go for practically guaranteed great weather.
